14th Mar 2025 (8 days ago)They usually show people around for you so you just go out. On the one occasion they couldn't show someone around they did ask if we could do the viewing and gave us the option. We did show them round obviously!

4th Sep 2024 (6 mo. ago)Recently sold my property through smiths and friends and initially very impressed. The lady that valued it was very professional and helpful and the man who took the photos and video did an excellent job. The after sales however was a different story. Hardly any contact after it was sold ..no updates, I was getting more info from my buyers and my solicitors. On the day of the sale my buyers solicitors had forgotten to send their money resulting in a huge delay. I was 20 Mins late dropping My keys off and I had a very shirty joy (aptly named) ring me to ask where I was as my buyers were waiting !! Er not my fault !! Walked into the office to drop the keys / hostile environment .. no asking how it’s gone etc. then went to pick my keys up from Northgate for my house - totally different experience - greeted with a smile, invited to sit down, asked how it went, given a welcome to your new home goodies box … it’s the little things that count. Considering I spent just short of £2.5k with smith and friends I felt that they took my money and ran and for that reason I won’t be recommending.

12th Oct 2024 (23 weeks ago)They don’t do repairs on houses took 3 months last year to repair a hole in the roof and now they are avoiding more repairs damp in the house and they do nothing!

6th Feb 2025 (6 weeks ago)Kelsey is great. Very easy and fast service receiving the keys and moving in. Moving out is another story. I was dealing with a different estate agent, Paddy, when moving out. He went out his way to make sure I wasn’t going to see that deposit again. I got professional cleaners in but because I didn’t do the garden he took the whole deposit. Doesn’t cost £625 to get gardeners in but I’m glad I didn’t bother because he made sure I wasn’t going to get it regardless. He has also added 4 months electric and gas on to my bill even tho I’ve been moved out for 5 months now. Paddy is a relentless, condescending, sad guy who seems to get a thrill out of causing problems for females renting on their own. Keep this in mind if you live on your own and rely on your deposit in the future.

All of the viewing have been done, the offers collated and we have received email and telephone communication throughout the process. 26th Oct 2024 (21 weeks ago)2 viewings one offer £40000 below asking price which was set by agent as realistic then they said it was probably too high. Also I take offence to their Facebook posts that state everything they touch turns to sold! When clearly it does not.
4th Mar 2025 (18 days ago)The state of the house we rented was devastating, we both had complete mental breakdowns. Rats, sewerage, mould, exposed electrics, doors wouldn't close, chimney pot actually fell through our van windscreen and could have killed someone - they denied it was from our house! They lied a lot and took months to sort anything (most things didn't ever get sorted). They seemed lovely people when we first moved in but it didn't last. I was physically sick and crying most the time I was at this property run by Langdales. I've rented for 17 years and never ever experienced anything this bad. 5 star reviews are fakes.
23rd Dec 2024 (13 weeks ago)A very positive experience. The property was let within a week and the administration and communication was very efficient throughout. I received feedback on viewings and I was kept up to date throughout the whole process of letting the property. The team are excellent and I would have no hesitation in using Ben Charles again in the future.
3rd Jul 2024 (8 mo. ago)They are a very friendly,helpful team,however at times their communication was poor .I was going to remove my home off the market as it had been on for several weeks.Another agent valued it as a bit higher it in the end Hegartys did sell it for me.

Gillian was acting for the vendors of the property and everything conceivable kept going wrong my end. Gillian was incredibly reassuring and quite literally rescued the process from disaster. I now have a beautiful home which meets my needs which I am well aware would not have been the case had it not been for Gillian. She was compassionate and reassuring and I will always be grateful to her.

20th May 2024 (10 mo. ago)BP Auctions have been anything BUT easy to work with. We’ve been chasing for updates on the sale of our property for weeks with no response. Every time we manage to speak to someone on the phone, we’re promised a call back that never happens. No one responds via email, and the whole process has been painfully slow from start to finish.
