6th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things

14th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

7th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)Amazing service from Warners - all staff were attentive and supportive from the beginning. Even with a sale fall through and having to go back on the market, they helped ease the upset of what was a really upsetting time, found me a new buyer and completed 6 weeks later. Cannot fault their service, Caitlin Meaney was my negotiator and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble and gave fantastic advice / came across very knowledgeable on the market for the area and time I was selling. Would 100% recommend Warners, and have already done so to a few also looking to sell. I met with around 4 estate agencies total and Warners were the clear choice from the start. Thanks so much for all your help! We now have sold our flat and purchased our forever family home and couldn’t have done it without your help.

As first-time buyers, we were quite anxious about the process, but it turned out to be remarkably smooth and stress-free which is down to Ralph Sayer. Our offer was submitted and accepted within just two hours, and we moved into our new home within six weeks without any issues. We had countless questions as first-time buyers, but every one of them was answered promptly and thoroughly. If you're a first-time buyer feeling overwhelmed by the home-buying process, we highly recommend Ralph Sayer. Thank you again to the entire team at Ralph Sayer for helping us buy our perfect home.
12th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)Murray & Currie are atrocious - we had rented with them for 4 years, having lived in two flats. In both, they had ignored us when we made them aware of plumbing issues (at one point disregarding months of constant follow-ups), which culminated in damage to our downstairs neighbours flats. Once again, in both instances, the neighbours had to contact our landlord themselves as the letting agents could not be bothered to do their job. Altogether, the caused thousands of pounds worth of damages and stress for everyone involved, including both us as the tenants and the landlords. This is the tip of the iceberg - I had paid rent in advance of my own volition at one flat, and they illegally kept it for months after I asked for it back (as I was moving). They also tried to charge us the full cost of a professional clean at move-out, despite the fact that we had paid for a professional cleaning using their own cleaning company upon the end of the tenancy. Honestly, there are no words. Truly I have never seen this level of incompetence. One flat managed by Murray and Currie and the entire neighbourhood ends up with a multi-year-long headache. You'd have better luck getting your property managed by a chimp.

She was always on hand to answer any questions we had and made sure to discuss new information with us as soon as she had it. I highly recommend Elaine Gray & will definitely be contacting her in the future if we decide to move again.

19th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Strutt & Parker were very efficient in helping us sell our flat in Edinburgh and they always kept us with a realists view of the price we might achieve. They also offered great advice and contacts when it came to presenting our property for sale.
3rd Nov 2023 (8 mo. ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.
11th Mar 2021 (3 years ago)Not great - would not use again. Did nothing to find interested parties in first few weeks until I had to call a senior team member to complain... Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.

The agent at the office was excellent at communicating everything to me and they took on the viewing responsibilities which was a great relief for me. Fantastic all round. From start to finish, they kept me updated, and informed me of what I needed to do at every stage. I liked the fact that I did not need to spend a thing until the whole transaction had been completed. I would use Neilsons again and recommend them to everyone who is selling or buying a house.

Very reasonable prices too and great transparency about fees, timing expectations etc. Would strongly recommend.
