20th Oct 2024 (3 days ago)I met with an agent at the property and then handed in keys so they could do viewings. I was told there was a afew viewings by email.but had to always ask for an update afterwards. I then had to request someone get in touch for an update and decided to drop the price aftershock it sold pretty quickly. 3 stars overall as.i wouldn't say there was anything outstanding so far just average.

30th Sep 2024 (23 days ago)Do not use Ralph Sayer as your solicitors to buy your house. Firstly, they kept getting my email wrong and sending my personal information to some random email address which is a huge issue and something I asked them to rectify multiple times. We also were asked if we wanted to buy furniture from the owners, we said we did. But our solicitors didn't pass on our email so the furniture was already sold. They are expensive, useless and you have to keep chasing them to make sure they are doing the work. They made a mistake on so many forms and tried to overcharge us by adding the first time buyer discount, instead of subtract it!. So incompetent.

Invasion of privacy of the highest order - none of your business how much I spent on amazon until I see you and believe you're not trying to do identity theft. Bunch of creeps.

19th Sep 2024 (5 weeks ago)Really poor experience of being a buyer through Remax, the house purchased was not as described or accurate according to Home Report. On entry to our home, no message to wish us all the best, no hot water, all the heating needing changed and based on the description was disgraceful. We asked questions at the viewing and told all was working and there hadn't been a leak which there had and now having to pay £10k on heating which was reflected as a '1' on the home report. TBH I don't think they asked the sellers any real questions and just marketed, took the money and moved on.

The sale of our house was a big step for me and my family as it was our first family home with so many special memories and Chris was the absolute perfect person to help us on that journey. From the initial discussion through the day of the sale and beyond, he was more supportive than we could have ever asked for. Even when we had the stress of having to put our house back on the market due to our initial buyers falling through, he helped guide us on best next steps. His knowledge of the industry is unparalleled and it being a family business just gives everything an even more special feeling. Thank you Chris, Laura, Christeen and Angela. You were all the absolute dream team. We can’t ever thank you all enough. If you are selling your house please trust me when I say they are the absolute best in the business.

26th May 2022 (2 years ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

I have been to countless letting companies around Edinburgh and it felt like I was being forced out the door with simple words of only website applications. I would recommend Martin & Co in Bathgate for any rental inquiries.- 12th Jul 2022 (2 years ago)Horrible agency, especially the agent's attitude when calling them. Faked the inventory report when I moved in, everything is a mess when I moved in.

18th Mar 2024 (7 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Andrew provided us with a free valuation which was bang on the money and had our house on the market very quickly. Andrew is always quick to respond to any queries on the phone or by email no matter what time of day it is or at weekends, helping guide us through the process. On moving day they went out of their way to help with key exchanges and get us in our new home as quickly as possible. We would highly recommend Avenue Road Estate Agents! Thanks for all your help! 5th Jul 2024 (16 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
