5th Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)I'm writing this review as a fellow estate agent. I've recently had Rural Scene in a chain with myself and Richard was absolutely fantastic. He is extremely proactive and provided us with updates weekly so that our chain moved forward smoothly and we have just today exchanged contracts. If anyone is looking for a rural estate agent then I would highly recommend Rural Scene. As an agent myself the good ones stand out and Richard is brilliant.
21st Oct 2023 (10 mo. ago)Andrew , Patrick and Ian and colleagues at Hamilton & Stiller were supportive throughout the process from advertising our property, updated us after viewings and gave us advise regarding sale price , negotiations when selling. The photos of our house were exceptional and the photographer did a drone photo of our property and garden which we have kept. Would highly recommend this team in Ross-On-Wye branch. Great teamwork, consistent communication and support thank you.
27th Aug 2024 (15 days ago)We have had experience of dealing with John Goodwin Estate Agents for more than 3 years whilst helping first a relative and then when looking for our own home. In that time, we dealt with numerous Estate agents across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire. Some were okay, many were appalling, and some stood out as excellent, with genuine hard-working staff who had not only their own clients, but the customer's interests at heart too. John Goodwin is clearly in this final category. Not simply because they found us our home, but because throughout the entire experience, they treated us with kindness, respect, listened to our needs, and offered help in any way they could. Always professional, they ensured we were kept informed of potential properties and bent over backwards to accommodate us with viewings. When we finally found the right property, they continued to work with us and support us through the whole process, offering recommendations for other professional services, such as Surveyors and Solicitors and ensuring all continued to go smoothly. Having been used to an entirely different system in Scotland, we were grateful for the advice and guidance provided. Although we didn’t experience selling a property with them, I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to use them if I were to sell. I cannot recommend them enough to any prospective purchaser and just wish that more Estate agents in England offered a similar service. Thank you!!

From the first management of the bidding process to the handover of the keys on completion Tom’s was a calm and reassuring voice. We are confident that he served the Vendors well but from the moment our offer was accepted we felt he was on our side too. The very few issues were smoothly managed. A personal touch throughout.

10th Jul 2024 (9 weeks ago)Beware of this Estate Agency - Specifically check before proceeding with an offer or purchase through G Herbert Banks, if they are aware of any active AG TAG attached to a property they are actively marketing for sale (be it with or without a Certificate of Lawfulness) it might save you a lot of money, time, effort and heartache in the long run.

They were accessible, professional and empathetic. We are particularly grateful to Sam Burston and Michelle Wilmot for their active roles and prompt communication. Sam did a wonderful job striking a balance between acting for the vendors and taking our needs into consideration. It is easy to see that he loves his job. Thank you very much for making our dream real!

I particularly want to commend Anthony for his friendly demeanour, and willingness to put himself out, and be as helpful as possible throughout. Watkins Thomas did an excellent job!

He kept me informed throughout the process and was always prompt at returning calls and providing updates with emails. 18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

My house purchase and sale did not go smoothly - as part of a chain of 6 I do believe that, without EmDot leading the communication and negotiating between all parties, the chain would have fallen apart. I can not recommend them enough, Kate & Rachael went above and beyond what you would expect from any normal estate agents and I would 100% use them again.

Ours were a 3 bed semi-detached house; Andrea and Ed helped us to showcase our house in an easily likable way. They have given both directional guidance and manual efforts to make our house market ready. Been with us all through the process like our well-wishers and true friends...we won't be able to consider them just as estate agents..Andrea and Ed got the quality of connecting to people; which make them different from other estate agents..Giving you the realistic valuation for the property...they possess thorough market knowledge...helps you to plan/ act on your next step..we will recommend chocolate box to our loved ones with 100% confidence. If you are looking for a quick sale, trust me chocolate box is the Best..ours were in the market for less than one month.. photographs, floor plan and descriptions were brilliant..Andrea and Ed are always available for you...Huge thanks to chocolate box...

28th Aug 2024 (14 days ago)We recently had our property valued by Pat from the Ross on Wye branch and went ahead with the pre-sales process. Halfway through, we decided to stay at our property as some land came up for sale next to the house (which is what we were looking for). Pat and the team were extremely understanding and super supportive. Throughout the process, from valuation to pre sales, the team were always very honest, considerate and patient. We never felt rushed or pressured with anything and they were always willing to listen and give advice at the other end of the phone. Would highly recommend this team if you want to put your house on the market.
