24th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)Terrible estate agents put us through hell for nearly a year couldn't be bothered to do anything didn't wanna fix any problems me my 3 year old daughter and partner got moved to harlow by hackney council so woodlands was our estate agents if anything needed repairs they was meant to sort it we had no hot water or heating for nearly a year kept complaining nothing got done we had to sleep in the living room as the whole house was covered in mould and our clothes washing machine floor cooker my daughter's toys everything was ruined they told us to clean it ourselves my 3 year old now has asthma she was healthy before we moved their I had carbon monoxide poisoning due to the sever smell of mould environmental health found over 28 hazards and shut the place down only a week before we had to move due to the property being shut down they put a new boiler in after waiting nearly a year they lie they are disrespectful and rude Please if you have a property from woodlands screen emails messages take pictures because that's what we did from the day we moved in they called us liers but we had all the evidence now solicitors and environmental health are involved
19th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)We have just sold our house in Romford through Ashton Perkins and overall, we were very very impressed with the service we received. We chose Ashton perkins for no other reason than it was our closest estate agent - we are certainly glad that we did. Ben dealt with the whole process in a professional Manner, keeping us informed every step of the way. We only had a small chain (4 ) and was completed from start to finish in 9 weeks, which we were very happy with. We honestly cannot fault the service we received, everything went so smoothly, in what can be a stressful time. His knowledge, experience and communication are second to none, always just a phone call away. ( Nothing was ever too much trouble) He even recommended a very good solicitor (cunningtons) who , once again , were brilliant. If you want to deal with honest genuine realistic lovely people then look no further. We can not recommend highly enough Ben and the team from Ashton Perkins. Thank you. Rob and Wendy
6th Apr 2024 (29 days ago)Not helpful. Didn't want to show around the property. We put an offer to the estate agent and he refused to phone owner till mid week as he said he was busy.??? Very unprofessional and won't ever deal with. How anyone can say professional is beside me.!
13th Jun 2023 (10 mo. ago)I had the misfortune of having a house fire 15 months ago but the fortune that a neighbour recommended Martin&Co who had the perfect house for myself & & family to move into, I had never rented before but dealing with Martin & Co was an absolute pleasure very relaxed, professional & you couldn’t deal with a nicer couple so I would highly recommend this company I would of posted this awhile back but I had issues with my Google account

9th Feb 2024 (12 weeks ago)recently I had the pleasure of residing in a charming rental house, and my experience was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt welcomed and at ease. The property owner, with their kindness and cooperative nature, made my stay exceptionally pleasant. The overall environment of the house was serene and calming. The peacefulness enveloped me, allowing me to unwind after long days. Moreover, the neighborhood itself contributed significantly to my positive experience. It was a community where friendly faces greeted me, and where safety and cleanliness were evident. I wholeheartedly recommend this rental property. With its kind owner, serene atmosphere, and excellent neighborhood, it deserves nothing less than a 5-star rating.
17th Jan 2024 (16 weeks ago)In times like this when renting a property is literally a nightmare, when agencies don't even bother to reply or answer the phone because they've got too many clients anyway, contacting Jemma from the agency was like seeing a light on the end of the tunnel or better to say an angel who finally woke you up from nightmares and gave a hope. So busy and under huge pressure, she always find time to answer your emails or call you back, she is an absolute jewel! Like my friend said and I absolutely agree, we just won a lottery with them! Edit: We lived(rented) in the house where many flats are managed by the agency and than you can get the clue why some people here are giving 1 star. I read those reviews and witnessed on my own eyes people from next door not paying bills, electricity cuts, bringing and leaving rubbish around the house and complaining that this government is not doing enough for them and they just want to live on benefits and agency suppose to give them accommodation for free??? It really makes me angry reading and seeing things like that, because if you are on benefits doesn't matter the reason why, you must understand that not even one agency will consider you in front of working people, simple as that, because you don't understand that you are risk for the people who work there, they are working for salary and they want to be payed for work they are doing, for service they are providing and you are expecting them to risk their work and life because of people who eventually might not pay the rent anymore??? Are you willing to work for someone who eventually will not pay you ? I know the answer on this one, because I'm not! I left the flat how I found it when my contract expired. We maintained it as it is our own property because we are living in it and we respect someone who owns it (same as you would expect if you give your car to someone, to fill it up, keep it clean and intact, no difference), and we got our whole deposit back on the same day our contract ended. So, don't believe some reviews here, it is not even worth it to read, because like I said, I witnessed the story behind that and how they left the property after they've got finally evicted (it was a relief for all of us in the building). Agency couldn't even place the property back to market, it was a nightmare. So they lost all that money for the rent, deposit is not going to be enough to bring it back for living condition and tell me, how people who work in the agency suppose to live? On benefits too? Sorry for my long rewiev, but someone independent needs to say the truth behind those 1 star reviews and according to this, I would just suggest the agency, "don't even bother with cases like this, because not even one agency does", but I know that you have more human approach like I said and that's why you are trying to help people even if they think that paying 6 month in front is a rip off, they don't really understand in what risk you are really placing yourself. BTW, we left the agency because our friends who left the country, gave us their property to live in, otherwise we wouldn't move from there, no chance. The best agency we experienced, honestly! Recommend!!!
23rd Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)We've had a bad experience with this agency. Rented a dump house, made it all nice and tidy, spent time and money and after 2 years rent gone up considerably. They only care about their pockets.

Their responsiveness was incredible start to end. If they didn’t pick up, they always call back no longer than 5 minutes later. Very impressed with the service and highly recommend working with Rakshita and Trupti as they made the process of finding a property and moving in seamless.

4th Apr 2024 (4 weeks ago)Dishonest, rude and highly unprofessional organisation. I received a parking notice for parking outside their office when it was closed! For just 15 minutes, from 18:25, to 18:38. I parked to collect food from the pizza shop next door so had an eye on my car the entire time, had they needed their parking space, I would have happily moved my car immediately. The ticket company euro parking services fined me on the grounds of: “parking on the premises whilst failing to enter registration number at the kiosk on site.” I appealed this immediately as I argued that I could not enter my registration as their office was closed. They rejected my appeal so I got in touch with this office directly. The director called me and I explained how unfair the ticket was. He understood my point of view and took my registration number and said he will contact the parking company. The next day I contacted the office to get an update on the situation, I couldn’t get through after several calls as I was clearly being avoided but my wife managed to get through with her number. During her conversation she was told that they couldn’t do anything about revoking this notice even though I had a conversation with the director himself the day before who said he will do something about it. At the end of their conversation my wife was told that the director would be in the office the next morning so I can discuss the matter with him then. I visited the office the next morning, only to be told the director was no longer in the office. I then recieved a call later in the day from his PA saying that there is nothing they can do about the fine. This company essentially gave me false hope by lying about doing something to revoke this fine when they had no intention of doing so. Unfortunately, I’m now left with a £100 fine to pay because I parked outside a closed office only to visit a shop next door. The funny thing is, the estate agents do not receive a single penny from this fine! Ironic how an estate agent is happy for people to potentially receive CCJ’s over not paying unfair parking notices which adversely affects their chances of obtaining a mortgage.

My viewing was arranged in literally the same day we managed to make an offer on the very day. She kept on communicating with us the whole time. Everything was managed and all the paperwork was carried out very quickly as well. I love the apartment I moved in, Thank you very much for all your support and effort. We are enjoying our new residence.
5th Oct 2022 (1 year ago)We had a really bad experience with this estate agent, so beware. We had an offer accepted on a property, Jerome did the usual of taking our ID, proof of deposit, agreement in principle etc and confirmed acceptance. Three weeks later our solicitor raised our attention to the fact that the sellers solicitor had yet to issue draft contracts. After another week I finally got hold of Jerome who confirmed that the seller wouldn't issue the draft contract until we had a confirmed mortgage offer on the property. I told Jerome that wasn't the normal sequence we were familiar with, but he assured me that was how sales progressed in his experience. We went back to our solicitor who advised us that they would indeed normally wait for draft contracts to be issued before proceeding with searches and surveys etc. So we gave the sellers solicitor a deadline before we would reconsider the offer. On the day of the deadline the seller issued a race contract and advised us that there was another interested party who's offer had also been accepted and the seller would exchange with the party which secured a mortgage offer first. I don't know whether Jerome was aware that the seller had accepted multiple offers when we had our conversation, but my instinct at the time told me he wasn't being open and honest about the sellers intentions. So beware of this agent in case they try this with you.
