22nd Feb 2025 (9 weeks ago)After listing our property with a well known “online” agency with the word Purple in its name the difference when listing with Bridgfords was night and day! Full of knowledge of the local market, second to none communications and just a general feeling that everyone cared about us has firmly set Bridgfords apart from its competition! When Emma came to appraise our property, she turned up already armed with multiple suggestions on how to sell our property from the wording of our advert to the images we use for the listing - no one else from the other 3 major agents in the area compared! We were sold! It wasn’t just Emma who excelled in our opinion, Richard was pivotal in getting our offer up to the value of what we wanted when it wasn’t looking like we were going to sell our property. Dealing with Katie over the phone has been brilliant, she’s super cheerful and really helpful and gets the job done every time. Fay, though, has stood out for us and I doubt you’ll find a better communicator in the business. Absolutely on the ball all the time and shared our frustrations when we had no shows but celebrated with us when we had interest, absolute credit to Bridgfords!! We had a viewing and the person viewing our property was explaining to me that he was having issues with his agent I had no issues in instantly recommending Bridgfords to him and would without hesitation recommend them to anyone who asks for my opinion!
12th Apr 2025 (17 days ago)We put a starting offer on a house in Ryhill sent all the necessary documents got an email to say they had sent an email to the vendor Telephoned them following Monday to be told she had received an email from the vendor to remove the the property off the market no more viewing’s no more offers To find out today the property was sold subject to contract We have not received any communication to say it was back on the market or we’d even been out bidded like Rhonda said she would do NOT HAPPY IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM If you could give half a star then that’s what I give them

8th Dec 2024 (20 weeks ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

I don't feel valued as a customer, the way she dealt with our process of buying a house was not professional and very confusing. I would never recommend this agency for any of my friends and I will not be buying a house with them.

He was absolutely brilliant, always responded promptly, providing the correct advice, returning calls, seeing everything through to completion. Thank you Jakub. If only the Morley Reeds Rains (Lettings) had been half as good I would not have had to move agents.

I initially got in touch with them to sell our property because of the positive experience I had from a buyer’s perspective when viewing properties. From a seller’s perspective, they were a wonderful team to work with. Excellent communication, a friendly conversation every time they needed to call us & no question was too silly to ask. A special shoutout to Jack who looked after us through what can be a stressful process. Thank you again! Erika & James

The staff don’t have a clue what there talking about , you’ve got to constantly chase them up, you get told you’ve got the property then they come back a week later with you’ve not passed the checks after giving a whole week of your time and effort to trying your hardest to get you and your son a roof over your heads. Very unprofessional company . All for them selves, also lied to me numerous times and told me good lord the company that does your referencing told them I hadn’t passed the checks which wasn’t the case at all as they told me they have nothing to do with the checks all they do is send the report back to the estate agent who then decides if you’ve passed or not .

Multiple challenges with the buyers team, but Joanne and Donna worked tirelessly to keep things moving and in my opinion did a lot of rhe buyers teams work for them. 18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

She was so helpful throughout the whole process. Gemma and Danielle also kept us fully informed and provided an excellent service. We highly recommend Martin & Co as the service we got from the whole team was exceptional.

At what will have been a very busy time for all estate agents he made sure to keep communication flowing throughout. They are professional and friendly and nothing is too much trouble , they put me at ease from first contact . I was really impressed with the photographs and video that Jody made of the Property and I was kept updated throughout . I felt like I was in safe hands from start to finish and would highly recommend
