6th Feb 2021 (5 years ago)The Covid pandemic has not made it easy to sell our beautiful 17th century cottage with having to make many challenging decisions along the way! However, with Harry Sheppard's expert help, this challenge was made much easier: always supportive at the other end of the phone, he encouraged us through a couple of fallen-through sales! Our 62 viewings were expertly managed by three of Knight Frank representatives, Patti, Philippa & Sara, with wonderful communications left at all times. At the end of 15 months, the team felt like part of our family! We highly recommend Knight Frank Oxford for their competitiveness, professionalism, friendliness and patience. Many, many thanks to you all!

1st Jun 2026 (17 weeks ago)We recently viewed a property in Southmoor which we really loved, fully aware it required a significant amount of work. We initially offered £378,000, and Graham contacted us to push £380,000, suggesting we increase our offer to secure the property. Reluctantly, we agreed as we didn’t want to lose it. Given the age of the property (1960s), we arranged a survey, which highlighted several issues. As a result, we submitted a revised offer to reflect the additional work required. Around the same time, we revisited the property and noticed that three fence panels were down, including one on our side. When I raised this with Graham, his response was dismissive, describing it as “only cosmetic,” which felt inappropriate given the rising cost of materials and repairs. Throughout the process, Graham’s attitude came across as dismissive and, at times, rude. Communication lacked professionalism, and we often felt our concerns were being minimised. We later received an email stating that the beneficiary’s husband, who is apparently a builder of 45 years, had dismissed the issues raised in the survey. This response felt unconstructive and contradictory, particularly as relatively minor issues like the fencing had not been addressed. Overall, the process raised multiple red flags, both in terms of communication and transparency. Unfortunately, our experience has been negative, and we would not feel confident dealing with this estate agent again and I would recommend other people to be aware of them.
8th Aug 2026 (7 weeks ago)Very disappointing experience and serious concerns about transparency.<br>We applied to rent 1 Compton Manor while arranging an international move. We were accepted as tenants, paid a holding deposit, received a draft tenancy agreement and underwent referencing and credit checks.<br>We were then informed that the owner had agreed to sell the property and our tenancy would not proceed. We subsequently discovered that the property had been marketed for sale by Warmingham only 1 month before it was advertised to let.<br>We made a formal complaint because neither of us had understood that the property we were applying to rent was actively for sale. Warmingham later stated that their agent recalled verbally telling us this during the viewing. This is completely inconsistent with our recollection: we clearly remember being told that the neighbours property within the six-home development was vacant and for sale, not 1 Compton Manor.<br>After we disputed Warmingham's account in writing, we received no further response or final outcome to our formal complaint.<br>Had we known the property was actively for sale, it would have materially affected our decision to proceed with the deposit, referencing and credit checks.<br>Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Warmingham. We believe the property's dual sale/rental status should have been made absolutely clear before we were asked to commit to the rental process.<br>Prospective tenants are looking for stable homes and often have little room for uncertainty once they begin committing money, time and personal information to a property. In our view, allowing tenants to progress this far without making the risk of an ongoing sale unmistakably clear takes unfair advantage of that imbalance and falls well short of the transparency we would expect from a professional estate agent.

20th Jul 2026 (10 weeks ago)We purchased a house recently through Singletons in Pangbourne. Paul Marshall handled the sale. He really was 1st class - a true professional. He worked across buyer and seller to get the deal done. After the price was agreed, Paul and the Singletons team remained engaged throughout the transaction helping resolve obstacles and keep the sale on track. Result was completion within 6 weeks. I can't recommend Singletons Pangbourne highly enough.

5th Nov 2025 (10 mo. ago)Agents under valued our property- we ended up going elsewhere and managed to get 80K more than this agency wanted to put it onto the market for. To me, the agent didnt really seem to know what they were talking about. Owner seems more interested in opening new shops then helping with current clients and wasnt very attentive whilst showing him around. Would not recommend unfortunately.

They dropped prices over a few weekends and gave the impression there was a problem but, the fact we sold it privately within days of making it available elsewhere only goes to show their lack of scruples.
