The whole process was pretty much done within a matter of days with zero stress! We have since moved into that flat and are absolutely in love with it. Connells were amazing throughout seemed to be the only party at times to have my best interest. Charlie in particular was amazing reaching out and offering tons of support, especially when a buyer pulled out (again no fault of Connells) the had a new buyer within a week. Couldn’t recommend them enough and big thank you again to not only Charlie but the whole team.- 5th Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)We were very impressed with Davis Tate. We looked at many properties in the area around Wantage to rent and found Davis Tate to be very helpful, professional and friendly. Dominic was really great with us as we didn't know the area very well at all. Suzie very helpful when finalising the rental agreement. I would recommend Davis Tate.
12th Sep 2026 (15 days ago)I had a viewing arranged by Millie who was very helpful. However someone else later called to cancel the viewing and told me someone would call to rearrange. Nobody called. Then the sales department didn't answer the phone or reply to my messages for the whole week. (I left 2 voicemail messages and spoke 3 times with the lettings department.) I finally left a message complaining and asking if it would be ok to contact the vendor directly. I was then called the following day with some excuse that the vendor is no longer selling the property or something, I didn't really fully understand it, and frankly by this time I didn't even care because I would not want to even consider buying the property unless it was listed with a more professional agent.<br>I have never experienced such a frustrating interaction with an estate agent, and I would not recommend anyone to deal with the sales department of Allen and Harris of Didcot unless they like wasting time.

The booking, registration and finally application went incredibly smooth. 7th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)After minimal success with our first Agent in selling our house, we chose to move to 'James Gesner Estate agents' due to their knowledge of Wallingford and the surrounding area and specifically one area. Having the team represent our sale, and then to find us a property in the area we were looking to move, I would comment that James and the team were exceptional. The data (marketing report) that they provide against the sales element was informative, the viewings that they conducted, were very professional and the correspondence was always relevant, and always available. James is very knowledgeable where it matters and worked tirelessly in supporting both the house sale and purchase, and I felt that he really went above and beyond in providing a great service and doesn't seem to switch off by providing updates whilst in Mexico. James Gesner Estate Agency will certainly be first on my list for any House sales/Letting.

It has been a challenging task but the team never let go of the job and eventually it paid off. Also Nicky arranged a private sale of a cottage in the Village that will suit our needs very well. 31st Jul 2026 (8 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. It took almost four months for us to receive our deposit back, during which time we were repeatedly pressured to accept almost £400 in proposed deductions.<br><br>We disputed the charges and ultimately took the matter to independent adjudication, which rules in our favour. This was particularly frustrating given that the issues had been reported during our tenancy and necessary maintenance was not carried out in a timely manner.<br><br>This was unfortunately part of a wider pattern of poor property management. At one point during the tenancy, we were left without gas, meaning we had no hot water or cooking facilities, for months while the landlord and boiler company disputed payment.<br><br>Overall, we felt that the focus was on passing maintenance costs onto the tenants rather than properly addressing issues during the tenancy. The fact that independent adjudication ultimately found in our favour was very telling.- 6th Aug 2026 (7 weeks ago)We were delighted with the service we received from the Wallingford branch of Thomas Merrifield. After meeting with several estate agents, it was clear that Luke was the right person to handle our sale. He quickly understood the property, set out a clear strategy, and impressed us with his honesty, flexibility, and ambition.<br><br>Communication was excellent throughout, with Luke always available to answer questions and offer guidance. Tiffany was also a pleasure to work with, helping with viewings and queries, while Mark provided great support whenever Luke was away.<br><br>We accepted an offer within days, and despite a few inevitable hurdles before completion, the process was smooth overall thanks to Luke and the team. We would have no hesitation in recommending Thomas Merrifield to anyone looking to move in the area.

She was also, extremely helpful! She answered all questions, we had and, went above ans beyond to get the answers, we were searching for! I would definitely, recommend having luisa, as your estate agent, when it comes to going through, Richard James estate agents!
2nd Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)A brilliant experience with Waymark Wantage. Our conveyancer was dreadful and made the whole buying journey very stressful. I'm convinced if it wasn't for Waymark - and in particular Yas Sutcliffe - our home purchase would not have been possible.
