7th Apr 2026 (30 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Scott Fraser. We attended a scheduled viewing only to find that the agent didn’t turn up. We ended up being shown around the property by the current tenant, which is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. When this was raised, the response and apology from Liberty were minimal and lacked any real accountability. Despite this, we remained serious and submitted an offer. We were clearly told by liberty we would be contacted if there was an opportunity to improve it. That contact never came. Instead, we later found out the landlord had accepted another offer without any communication to us, despite expectations being set. The entire process was poorly handled, disorganised, and lacked even the most basic level of professionalism or courtesy. As someone who has previously worked in estate agency, it’s genuinely surprising to see this level of service still happening. Experiences like this only reinforce the negative stereotypes around the industry. Would not recommend.

They made everything feel smooth and well-managed, always keeping me informed and providing clear, expert advice. Their attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high standard of service really stood out. It’s clear they genuinely care about their clients and go above and beyond to ensure everything is handled seamlessly. He was professional, friendly, and made the viewing a very comfortable experience by answering all our questions clearly and patiently. He also guided us step by step during the application, keeping us updated and making everything much less stressful. His communication was excellent, and his positive attitude really stood out. We truly appreciate his support and would highly recommend him.

At a time when sometimes it feels like you're being shunted around viewings as just another name on a list, it was wonderful to be treated like people, and talked to in such a helpful, informative, but also kind and warm manner. On both occasions call-backs were promised but never happened. It seems they can afford to turn away potential clients and business. We will now use other agents.

15th Apr 2026 (22 days ago)Absolutely first class service from Graeme and his team at Thomas Merrifield. This was not an easy sale to progress, Graeme was spinning lots of plates, in a difficult chain, including keeping me up to date with information as and when I needed it. When i had questions about the process he was patient in explaining things to me. His communication via phone, voice mail and email has been first class. I would recommend Graeme Pierce and his team at Thomas Merrifield without a doubt. 100% first class service.
14th Jan 2026 (16 weeks ago)My friend and I have both rented with JCP, and while my experience was okay (which I put down to having a conscientious landlord rather than any doing of the agents themselves), I am giving a one star review because of the terrible experience of my friend with JCP and their landlord, who is the director of JCP. On leaving the property, the landlord tried to claim double the amount of the deposit in damages for false reports they had made on the final condition of the property. This was completely unjustified and was made especially painful considering the already existing issues with the property that the landlord failed to engage with them on throughout the tenancy; this all caused significant stress to my friend. I would not recommend JCP in the future because of this
31st Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)Time wasters. They don’t include pet restrictions in ads. When we ring to ask about pets, they state “pets will be considered on application”. Then once we view the property and put in an application, they state pets will not be accepted. They must get some form of commission per application…

13th Jun 2023 (2 years ago)Hathaways took over management of our Oxford property in April this year, and so far have been a breath of fresh air - it's great to be working again with a family concern, and to feel that they care about us and our tenants. The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.

4th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)College and county has looked after two rental houses for me for several years and they take all the hassle out of my life. They select great tenants and give regular feedback on how the letting is progressing, they also deal efficiently with the normal household problems like drains, appliance breakages and keep me informed with me having to interrupt my day to sort them out. They have also negotiated HMO licences with the council on my behalf. I have had requests from other letting agencies but am not going to change. Thank you C&C
