I dealt mostly with Kate McKinnon who went above and beyond throughout the whole process. She was calm, knowledgable and approachable. I would have no qualms in recommending Carter Jonas for house rentals or house buying and selling.

19th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)I previously used this agency to rent a property in London, so when my husband later decided to sell the house in Henley, I was happy to use them again. The agency and a particular agent were recommended to us, and the process started relatively well. My husband’s application was accepted, and all the agents from the Henley office came to view the house.<br>Unfortunately, once a buyer was found, the whole experience changed. The team seemed to switch their attention entirely to the buyer and completely forgot about us — the people actually selling the property and, of course, paying their fees.<br>It was extremely frustrating. Our emails were often ignored, getting through to someone by phone was difficult, and we regularly had to go into the office simply to remind them that we were still there and needed updates.<br>We did everything we could to make the sale as easy as possible for the buyers. We moved out within a very short timeframe and even left them the washing machine, tumble dryer and various other items as a gesture of goodwill like expensive wooden blind and shutters. Despite this, we often felt that the agents were speaking to us as if we were children rather than their clients — the people paying their commission.<br>The buyers seemed to make one request after another, and the agents showed enormous interest in accommodating them, while speaking to us in a dismissive and sometimes rather disrespectful way. At times, it felt as though our needs and circumstances simply didn't matter.<br>Overall, it was a very useful experience in terms of learning what to expect from an estate agent, but it was also extremely stressful. We were genuinely disappointed by the agency and, most of all, by the way we were treated once the buyer had been found.<br>I would strongly recommend that the agency remembers that a successful sale involves two sides, and both deserve the same level of communication, professionalism and respect.

From start to finish, everything was handled professionally, efficiently and with great communication.<br><br>A special mention has to go to Grace, who was absolutely brilliant. She was incredibly responsive, organised and communicative throughout the entire process, always keeping us updated and making sure everything was clear and straightforward. Her friendly and helpful approach made what can often be a stressful process feel remarkably easy.<br><br>We really appreciated how quickly Grace responded to any questions and how proactive she was in keeping things moving. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making the experience as smooth as possible for us.<br><br>We would highly recommend both the agency and, in particular, Grace to anyone looking to rent a property. Excellent service from beginning to end — thank you, Grace, for making the whole process so easy!

Throughout our property purchase, JNP provided exceptional support, with Sue acting as an absolute force from start to finish. She was proactive, persistent, and remarkably responsive at every stage. Whenever the chain slowed down or obstacles arose with solicitors, Sue stepped in on behalf of JNP, kept the communication flowing, and chased relentlessly to ensure critical deadlines were hit. Her energy, clear updates, and dedication made all the difference in getting us successfully exchanged and completed. If you are looking to buy or sell, JNP is fantastic, and Sue is someone you definitely want in your corner!!!

From the moment I met Aimee, she instantly understood what I was looking for in a home and was able to show me exactly the right house for my family. She even suggested a property I was hesitant to view, but she knew I’d fall in love with it, and she was right.<br><br>During the completion process I worked with Natasha, who was absolutely fantastic. She helped us progress our sale through a chain of five parties and four properties. She worked tirelessly, and honestly I don’t think we could have completed without her.<br><br>A huge thank you to the whole team.
11th May 2026 (20 weeks ago)We’re very grateful to Zoe for helping us finally get our purchase over the line after an extremely stressful seven month process, despite there being no chain involved. Zoe was persistent, proactive and supportive throughout, always chasing updates and keeping us informed even when communication from the sellers, NatWest, as well as their own solicitors, was extremely poor. We honestly don’t know how she managed to deal with them for so long, they were repeatedly unresponsive and very difficult to progress with. One thing we would say to anyone considering buying a repossession property is to think very carefully beforehand. The property remained on the market the entire time, our offer price was publicly displayed online, and viewings continued while we were already deep into the process. As first time buyers, this added a huge amount of unnecessary stress and uncertainty. Unfortunately, this was something Connells failed to make clear to us before we became financially involved with our solicitors and the purchase process. Despite all of that, the team at Connells were genuinely helpful and did what they could once they understood what we were dealing with. 22nd Sep 2026 (4 days ago)We recently purchased a property through Chancellors, and I would especially like to mention Sherko, who has been absolutely amazing throughout the process. He is very talented, helpful, kind and professional. Whenever we approached Sherko with a question or needed help, he always tried his best to support us and give us the assistance we expected. We are genuinely grateful for his help.<br><br>However, I do feel there is an important area where Chancellors could improve. Before showing or selling a property, I believe all staff involved should have full and accurate knowledge of the property.<br><br>On our initial viewing, the staff member showing us the property was unable to answer several basic questions and unfortunately gave us some information that later turned out to be incorrect. We only discovered this towards the end of the purchase process.<br><br>We also requested a second viewing, and unfortunately the staff member who attended did not seem to have sufficient knowledge about the property either. When we asked specifically about the central heating system and other important details, we were told that there “must be a system” there. We were also given very limited time for the viewing — around 5–7 minutes — which made it difficult to properly check and understand the property.<br><br>As a result, after completing the purchase, we have now discovered that we need to spend around £10,000 to install a central heating system, which is a significant and unexpected expense.<br><br>I want to make it clear that our experience with Sherko was completely different. Whenever we went to him, he listened, helped us and provided the support we needed. I genuinely don’t understand why the same level of care and knowledge was not provided by some of the other staff.<br><br>Overall, I would like to thank Sherko personally for his excellent service. At the same time, I strongly recommend that Chancellors ensures staff have accurate information about properties before conducting viewings, and that buyers are given enough time and proper answers to important questions. This could prevent buyers from making decisions based on incorrect or incomplete information.

30th Aug 2026 (27 days ago)I went to rent a house from this agency in Heddington, the agents are very deceitful and try to force you to pay 0 deposit scheme and then they force you to take out insurance to your personal belongings, they lie that owner doesn't accept without something like that, when I wanted to pay full deposit, he just wants to scam you to make you pay monthly fees and to avoid pay full deposit. I applied to three houses, of which he told me they rejected me, but I applied that I didn't want a zero deposit and I didn't want insurance, they called me, talked to us on the phone for five minutes and suggested that it would be better to put in a zero deposit offer and The insurance and I told them that I was convinced to pay the deposit that I would get it back at the end of the rent they said ok I will send your offer to lanlord and in less than two minutes after I hang up the phone he sent me an email that the lord refused my offer. lying to make you pay extra for their company month after month insurance and zero deposit that.with other companies you pay a certain amount as insurance and that's it, not with them you have to pay month by month, I don't recommend the most fraudulent agency- 10th Jul 2026 (11 weeks ago)Nicky and her team at Summertown have worked tirelessly and enthusiastically over the past year to get our 4th prospective buyer over the line. It has been a challenging task but the team never let go of the job and eventually it paid off. Also Nicky arranged a private sale of a cottage in the Village that will suit our needs very well. Our thanks to Nicky and her team for a job well done.

Initially shown the incorrect property by one of their agents, and on several other viewings the agent had little to no information on the property. Sent a list of questions on one, recieved 'not that we are aware' to most of them.<br><br>Offered on two properties and lost out on both with no information or contact given, just an email with a no.<br><br>It's obviously because we didn't want to take part in the 'no deposit scheme' which they push you to sign up for, which means you pay 80 per month and receive nothing back at the end of tenancy. Bit of a scam really.<br><br>We found a property through a different agent.

From my initial enquiry through completion and beyond, communication was excellent. I was kept in the loop every stage, making the process smooth and manageable.<br><br>Katherine and Carl's personal and friendly personas kept them approachable when required and swiftly returning with answers to any of my queries. After meeting with several estate agents, it was clear that Luke was the right person to handle our sale. He quickly understood the property, set out a clear strategy, and impressed us with his honesty, flexibility, and ambition.<br><br>Communication was excellent throughout, with Luke always available to answer questions and offer guidance. Tiffany was also a pleasure to work with, helping with viewings and queries, while Mark provided great support whenever Luke was away.<br><br>We accepted an offer within days, and despite a few inevitable hurdles before completion, the process was smooth overall thanks to Luke and the team. We would have no hesitation in recommending Thomas Merrifield to anyone looking to move in the area.

After making an offer that was accepted, Matt was instrumental in liaising with the property owner for access to the property before completion in order to complete renovation works. He communicated well, responded to requests in a timely manner and nothing was too much trouble. And he answered his phone when I rang. We moved in on July 29th and couldn't have done it without his help.<br><br>I would have no hesitation in recommending Matt and Knight Frank in Henley if you're buying or selling property in this area.

As long-term tenants, what has stood out most is their professionalism, reliability, and genuine care for both the property and the people living in it. A special mention has to go to Ellen Horsley, who has been an exceptional point of contact throughout our tenancy. Ellen is always approachable, responsive, and incredibly efficient. Whether it’s been routine queries, maintenance requests, or general support, she has handled everything promptly and with a friendly, reassuring attitude. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and truly values building good relationships with tenants. The agency as a whole has been organized and transparent, making the renting process smooth and stress-free over the years.
