1st Jun 2026 (17 weeks ago)We recently viewed a property in Southmoor which we really loved, fully aware it required a significant amount of work. We initially offered £378,000, and Graham contacted us to push £380,000, suggesting we increase our offer to secure the property. Reluctantly, we agreed as we didn’t want to lose it. Given the age of the property (1960s), we arranged a survey, which highlighted several issues. As a result, we submitted a revised offer to reflect the additional work required. Around the same time, we revisited the property and noticed that three fence panels were down, including one on our side. When I raised this with Graham, his response was dismissive, describing it as “only cosmetic,” which felt inappropriate given the rising cost of materials and repairs. Throughout the process, Graham’s attitude came across as dismissive and, at times, rude. Communication lacked professionalism, and we often felt our concerns were being minimised. We later received an email stating that the beneficiary’s husband, who is apparently a builder of 45 years, had dismissed the issues raised in the survey. This response felt unconstructive and contradictory, particularly as relatively minor issues like the fencing had not been addressed. Overall, the process raised multiple red flags, both in terms of communication and transparency. Unfortunately, our experience has been negative, and we would not feel confident dealing with this estate agent again and I would recommend other people to be aware of them.

On the last viewing told us we had secured it in the Saturday only to be told on the Tuesday that there was a higher bid. We have been brought in as a bidding baite in this property. Avoid this agent! No office to even call in
27th Oct 2021 (4 years ago)Shut two afternoons in a row with no notice, no info on website, just a handwritten sign in the door. Can't collect Amazon parcels, make PayPoint payments etc as a result. At least keep customers informed online and also inform Amazon so customers don't keep on trying to get items delivered there when the delivery driver can't gain access.- 15th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)We cannot thank Hunters enough for the prompt sale of our property and helping us to find our dream home ! And what can we say about John Duffy from the Wokingham office … John is the upmost professional and certainly knows his stuff. Always checking in to make sure we are happy with everything, his communication is absolutely amazing. He has made the whole process stress free and seamless for us ! 23rd Sep 2024 (2 years ago)If I could give 0 stars, I would. I opted to withdraw my offer on a property despite being so over the moon it was accepted and loving the house. So sorry to the seller, but it was not worth risking my mental health in dealing with an abrupt, pompous individual. Didn’t even acknowledge my email, though unsurprising given the communication thus far! Shame Rightmove doesn’t allow you to filter out agents!
17th Oct 2025 (11 mo. ago)Going to see multiple properties is always a nightmare but meeting Jenni at Northwood I was able to have an experience that made the process so smooth I’ve never had from other agents or estate agents so having Jenni doing the process in the way I understood was just perfect.

3rd Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I would not recommend Purplebricks services. I paid for a hosted viewings package as I was unable to conduct viewings myself. The first viewing was booked and confirmed by the hosted viewings team however the team failed to turn up to show the potential buyer the property, as a result they could not view the property. After I made a complaint I received an Armenia response form the hosted viewings team denying it was their fault. It also seems that out of spite the hosted viewings package was deactivated on my account, without my permission or request and unbeknown to me. A second viewing was booked which again, the hosted viewings team did not turn up to. Purplebricks effectively seemed to be trying their best to block the sale of my property by not allowing people to access my property. They could not provide a sufficient answer as to why they failed to turn up twice and I lost all confidence that they could sell my flat and as a result I took it off the market. The complaints process took several weeks to deal with my complaint and an initial offer of a £225 refund was an insult given that I paid £1499 for the package (hosted viewings listed as £899). A second and final offer saw a refund of £625, which is still no where near enough to pay me back for their failure to comply with the contract and the inconvenience I experienced given they significantly delayed the sale of my property.

Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.
