Their criteria for selecting tenants is high class and reliable.<br>The branch manager at Beaufort Park, Rahim Velji, with whom I mostly deal with, is a professional gentleman with a very courteous and helpful attitude and is always available and ready to help and resolve matters satisfactorily.<br>Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the service provided by all the staff of B&R.

I was very impressed with the politeness and professionalism of the two staff members I spoke to. First Saffron who helped me navigate your front door{!}, and then helped me with my enquiry, and also Dylan who helped answer some of my more detailed questions, as he had had experience with regard to these type of retirement properties. I will definitely recommend your estate agents to anyone I speak to. 9th Mar 2026 (15 weeks ago)Would give 0 stars. Easily the worst letting agents in Reading. They’ll never fix the problems and the basic requirements from you. Whatever you report goes into deaf ears. We’ve been reporting about faulty blinds , leaking bathroom and lots of sharp nails from beneath the carpets for more than 6 months with no one turning up even once. Stay away even if the property looks cool.

Ella was great with our viewing and provided us with lots of information about the property. We then got transferred over to Mary when putting an offer in for the property. She was so helpful and explained things really well. I really appreciated how easy she was to contact and the fact that she kept me updated whilst we were waiting to hear back from the landlord.

4th Jun 2026 (21 days ago)I understand the property market is extremely congested at the moment, but my experience with this agency went beyond what can reasonably be explained by high demand. There was a clear lack of transparency throughout the process. Communication was poor, information about the property’s status was unclear, and I was never given a fair opportunity to view the property. No clear explanation was provided as to why viewings were handled the way they were. While competition is expected, basic professionalism, ethical conduct, and open communication should still apply. Unfortunately, this experience felt neither transparent nor equitable, and it has left me questioning the agency’s standards. I hope the agency reflects on this feedback and improves how prospective clients are treated going forward.
30th May 2026 (26 days ago)Top notch experience renting through them. They have been as quick as humanly possible arranging for any emergencies to get resolved and their staff go above and beyond. Our fridge broke down during a heatwave, James went to Slough for a replacement when there weren't any that would fit in the local stores. When out of hours issue have come up Emma has been super patient and responsive. All together, everyone we have interacted with has been stellar.

Throughout two decades, their service has been exceptional, built on a foundation of open, clear, and honest communication. Where Walmsley truly shines is when things don’t go exactly to plan, this we have seen from both the lettings and sales teams. Their active management, perseverance, and problem-solving skills during the sales process were outstanding. I genuinely believe that without their dedication and proactive approach, we wouldn't have reached completion when we did. They are thoroughly professional, completely trustworthy, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

24th Apr 2026 (9 weeks ago)DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. RUDE AND TRY TO INTIMIDATE STUDENTS AND TAKE ADVANTAGE. They are awful. Rude and confrontational. We have had multiple issues with the house they have rented us, saying its not their problem and that we should go to the landlady, when realistically they should help. we have been yelled at in the house we are renting from them in front of other potential tenants which not only was an embarrassing situation but also totally uncalled for and unprofessional just like when they opened my mail. when we complained about the viewing being over an hour late the "CEO" (Asiff) replying with "you have been complaining non stop so I am just going to ignore you". Disgusting human imo. THE ONE STAR IS FAKE.
28th May 2026 (28 days ago)We’ve been in contact with Elliot Gold , one of their agents who was really unprofessional with us . There was an issue with our rent agreement which caused a lot of frustration for us and the landlord and Eliot didn’t understand our side so we felt that their agent doesn’t understand the real estate laws properly. I wouldn’t choose them as a landlord or as a tenant.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Eleanor and Jordan were great during the whole process, ranging from the successful marketing, very well organised viewings and the subsequent useful feedback, to liaising with the buyers and solicitors. Absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them!

The data led presentation and the ability to see the scale of the prospective buyers was very refreshing.
