We had constant communication and high touch assistance in guiding a sitting tenant out of our property whilst at the same time prepping and listing the apartment for sale. I highly recommend them and can’t thank them enough for their time and energy in a very tricky situation.
25th Mar 2024 (30 days ago)Worst rental experience of my life. Property was extremely mouldy and GHE did very little to resolve this. I submitted a letter from my doctor because I developed asthma from the mould but no resolution was offered other than cleaning the trickle vents, sending us bleach and the purchase of a second large dehumidifier (where we were expected to pay for all the electricity- £75 per month extra per dehumidifier). The agents clearly want to make as much money as possible with little regard to their legal requirements to ensure a safe environment for their tenants. There was clearly a deep structural issue as the walls would be wet in the morning and no amount of cleaning/dehumidifier could get it under control. You can see in the third photo spots that look like oil - this was mould that covered every wall of the flat. We had to throw out a lot of possessions as they were mould damaged. In total we think we spent over £3,000 on the mould problem. GHE refused to pay for a cleaning to get this under control. I wish we had never rented with GHE as it’s done lasting damage to our physical health. I’ve rented in London for 8 years but this has been head and shoulders worse than any other property. GHE have no redeeming qualities.

So far I have been able to sort out all the difficulties I have had in renting a property with the help of Sang (the letting agent), Kimberley (the property manager) and Kim. In fact, they have always been helpful. They took care of everything (even the simplest process of registering for council tax, choosing an energy supplier, etc.) in a very friendly and helpful manner. Although I have no further experience with other agencies, I would say that these guys have really made a positive impact on my opinion of Romans.

9th Apr 2024 (15 days ago)avoid if you can!! had a truly bad experience. the listing promised desk chairs and desks in all rooms, they did not have them. moved in to the kitchen rotting, dirty walls, broken furniture in all rooms that they clearly did not care to fix prior to our move. they clearly pocketed the previous tenants deposit money without spending anything to sort the house prior to our move. this was shown by the fact that when we deep cleaned the house before leaving, a drawer i left completely empty all year was black with dirt when wiped. i am now in a house let by adams estates and they are fast to fix any problems and much kinder and more considerate to students.
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

She was not interested in discussing the property but rather just wanted the offer amount. This attitude together with reviews of how your tenants are treated tells us to stay away.
1st Apr 2024 (23 days ago)First time in 8 years I had the opportunity to rent a flat through Martin &Co Agents. Sinced the beginning from the first viewing Kyra was showing the flat and explained everything perfectly personal and thu the emails aswell making things clear. Jaidan who took over later, he past us thru the referencing process,(wich was,rapid and efficient)then completing the process and the contract,everything went smooth and efficient and this agency they really impressed us when we went to pick up the flat keys they were attached with a company logo key holder not to mention a beautiful welcome ???? box with sweets and a lot of discount vouchers to different retailers. Thank ???? you for being the best Agents and Agency that I've encountered since my 8 years in UK. Keep up the good work and Happy Easter ???? ????

He has been superb in the sale of our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our sale went ahead. From the beginning to the end he has had a positive outlook. On our viewings he was bright and bubbly and ensured that the viewers were made aware of the benefits of our property,. When we eventually agreed a sale we had a long process due to the fact that the buyers held up matters, however Rhys would always be pressing to try and speed up the process and always kept us up to date and informed. At one stage our buyer went abroad, Rhys was on calls to our buyer at 1030 at night trying to deal with their queries in an attempt to push our sale through. We can’t thank Rhys enough for what he did for us. He is a real credit to his trade and we would throughly recommend using him to friends and family. Again thank you Rhys Henry
