Even though we put the house on the market over Easter weekend, the process was done quickly and with good communication. We had regular updates and the staff were friendly and helpful.
28th Mar 2024 (29 days ago)We have just moved out of our house as we are expecting a little one . Just wanted to say a massive thank you to siobhan. She really went the extra mile to make sure we had a an easy stress free move and helped a lot with the closure of are contract which we are sad that come to and end. Highly recommend if looking for a property in the Salisbury area . Will definitely be going back to Siobhan when looking for a new property . Truly an amazing lady .
28th Sep 2023 (6 mo. ago)They were excellent communicators and went out of their way to help us even when there was no financial benefit for them. We would recommend anybody buying or selling a home in this area use them - as their customer focus and understanding of the local area is unparalleled.
1st Apr 2024 (25 days ago)Oh dear. We found a property to rent and what started off as a promising start, with Aimee in her first week as a lettings agent, she was very pleasant and competent. We placed the required 5 weeks holding deposit on the property and proceeded with the referencing formalities etc., During this time the Landlady changed her mind (not for the first time) and no longer wanted to rent the property but now wanted to sell it. As we had only signed the 'intention' to rent and paid the holding deposit to Connells, that was that, the tenancy could not go ahead. So we asked Connells for our 5 weeks deposit back and despite being told it would be returned, kept getting fobbed off with excuses such as 'the accounts team are very busy' to, 'we use an external company to take/hold the deposits' (which was not disclosed at the time placing the payment directly with them.. Upshot after continual failures to return the deposit we gave them a 5 day notice of intended litigation. No deposit received, so proceeded with a claim through the Small Claims Court. Strangely, the deposit was then returned, but not yet the costs incurred is getting it back; so we will proceed with the litigation and see what a Judge makes of their behavior. I understand the 'change in mind was not the agents fault, but the manner in which they behaved thereafter was dreadful. Avoid handing any money over to them.
26th Jul 2022 (1 year ago)Over valued our property at £1,500,000. Then asked us to reduce asking price by £250,000, had people viewing offering £1,000,000 thinking we were desperate to sell because of the large reduction. Sacked them after two months, house never sold.

The team were responsive and kind, and provided valuable advice at various points. An outstanding service.

This sums them up-my year contract is nearly up so rang them to cancel-was told you cant cancel till your year is up (without incurring fees), fair enough you think but they wont accept the cancellation till your year anniversary then its 2 months from then till they let go of you. So its a 14 month contract, not 12 as stated. I dont know what other business brokers are like but avoid Kings.
30th Jan 2024 (12 weeks ago)After making the tough decision to sell my property, I then had an even more difficult decision to make in choosing which Estate Agent to list with. Through experience, I knew which agents that I definitely did not want to use and this left me with a handful of options to consider. I met with 3 different Estate Agent representatives and I knew immediately after my consultation with Oliver Chandler that I wanted to use them. Not only do they have many years of experience working in the industry, they also valued my input regarding valuation, the 'process' to take in adjusting to the market and most important of all; the urgency to get my property onto the market. My property was listed the next day! Oliver Chandler gave a genuine and personal service that is lacking in most industries these days, particularly the Estate Agent business. They went above and beyond in dealing with all aspects of my house viewings, sale and purchase. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Do yourself and favour and chose Oliver Chandler as your Estate Agent, you will not regret it.

Couldn't be happier to recommend him.

14th Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)I’m sure there are some success stories but ours isn’t one. I would guess they couldn’t anticipate the disaster of the auction buyers solicitor or the fact the buyer was clearly trying to avoid stamp duty. After being assured everything was fine and above board the auction collapsed leaving us in a financial mess and no compensation. The second auction got unpleasant between solicitors (buyers not accepting it was an auction time line) The hope was for a quick sale, instead we are no further forward and out of pocket.
