12th Mar 2026 (6 mo. ago)Savills were the letting agent for my property for about 6yrs after being bought by Area Estates. Savills do bare minimum with regards to repairs and maintenance. Camilla Kirby who recently left the company was lovely and made every effort to assist with the limited authority she had, sadly she was replaced by Rachel Bentley who is condescending, rude and quite frankly should not deal with the public in any capacity. Following a S21 notice due to selling before the new landlord rules come into affect in May, they attempted to charge £760 for removal of a fish tank from the loft of property despite it being in the property from the beginning of the tenancy and having no proof it wasn’t. She lied in a reference and stated that it couldn’t be changed as the director had approved it, and when I pressed her saying the reference was factually incorrect she stated “the DWP may be able to assist you with something in writing about your benefits”.

Thank you Kathryn Lee, you were always so encouraging. Forever grateful to you. Very happy and settled now in my new home.

30th Aug 2026 (15 days ago)Appalling service absolutely no interest in my requirements- gave me the details of The property I requested but made no effort to discuss any requirements or look at any kind of possible matches- I tried to call to discuss what I would have liked - gave my details for a director to call back and they didn’t bother<br>This shows total lack of care and quite frankly rather embarrassing for such a considered reputable local business- 8th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)Andy was excellent on the initial visit and Anna was great in the office. The time to sell said it all.

23rd Feb 2021 (5 years ago)We moved house between the lockdowns in September 2020. It all went through within a couple of months and would probably not have happened without the skills of Annabel Fearnall and her colleagues at Barbers Rural. We made enquiries from several agencies including well-known nationally-recognised firms, but Barbers Rural was by far the best with their intimate knowledge of the locality. There was really no contest and the result of the sale is testimony to that. Also, theirs was by far the most reasonable cost. We have nothing but praise for and thanks to the firm for their professional standards and for the manner in which they prepared our house for the potential limited number of purchasers. We were always confident that Annabel was on top of the situation and was working in our best interests. We can thoroughly recommend Barbers Rural - we couldn't have done better.

24th Aug 2022 (4 years ago)Found them to be extremely arrogant, who complains about a purchasers solicitor being on holiday in the middle of the school holidays. Obviously never sold a property in the summer before. Then expects the purchaser to let the vendor to be able to enter the property after contracts and payment have been made. Typical expectation of estate agents, middle men who do nothing and treat purchasers like dirt. Can't wait for the housing market to stop and the boot is on the other foot, and estate agents have to earn a living.

Nothing is too much trouble and the updates and communication is excellent! If I ever sell another house I know where to come! Thanks guys! ??????

14th Sep 2026 (0 days ago)Team are all very approachable- 12th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)They only care about properties to sell, rentals tho they half arse and don’t really care about, they will leave you in the dark ghost you and not update you, you have to go out of your way to make sure they do there job and even then it’s luck of the draw if they do or don’t …. Letting agents no wonder they have a bad reputation….
