24th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)This agent requires sixteen weeks.There wasn't communication after the contract was signed. The property was on the market, but it was the twelfth week before anyone enquired. Could not locate agents window on the high street. They do not use professional photographers, which was definitely a mistake. The agent works alternate Saturdays, but never informed me beforehand, and suggested I didn't tell him I would be away. Unsure of the question as he did agree to conducting the viewings. One viewer was due to come on a Saturday, but never showed. It's possible she tried to contact,but got no reply. It's the same response I got when I rang twice on that Saturday. He got the keys along with instructions to the alarm, but still managed to set it off. He does not come over too well, and can't say it's the right career choice.

In a very challenging market, where I had been lied to and duped by other agents, they provided an honest, highly professional and also supportive service when it was needed. A massive thank you to Andrew, David, Zoe and Mandy - a super team who got me a great result ????
17th May 2025 (1 year ago)Shelley at Home4 was excellent. Within a few days of the board going up we had 22 viewings and was sold very quickly after They informed me by text the dates and times of each viewing. They even helped me with my technical issues.

9th Aug 2023 (3 years ago)Were do I start joke of a company 1st of all the staff need to check there grammar n spelling mistakes afther mistakes on head letters half the time they never pick up phones in the office when ever you go in office the staff just look like they woke up out of bed not even smart this company needs to fix up big time
27th Aug 2026 (18 days ago)The team at Northwood Solihull have provided us with exceptional support in letting our flat in Acocks Green.<br>We couldn’t recommend them more, they have made the entire process from getting the property ready to go on the market, through to finding tenants and their moving in seamless. We will definitely use their services again in the future.
29th Oct 2021 (4 years ago)We recently tried to rent a commercial property that SJ had. Ryan the representative had zero knowledge nor could answer any of our inquiries. Weeks later still no emails, month later we received an email that our offer was declined with no explanation as to why. Many attempts later to speak to anyone other then receptionists fell on death ears. Terrible run business all should avoid at all costs.

Thieving clowns, very very very deceitful - 1 lie after the other. Should be investigated not fit to be a housing agent. Can never get through to them to fix issues with the property only concerned about taking money monthly. Stay away !!!!!!. I would give them a minus 100000 rating if I could

My situation with selling my house and buying the one from yourselfs was complex at times but with her understanding and support it went super smoothly Sharon is a a great ambassador for Hughes and Son's and I will be recommending her and your estate agents to any family or friends wanting to sell or rent a property. 25th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I had a completely unprofessional experience with John Shepherd Estate & Letting Agents regarding a rental property in the Gravelly Hill area. On June 23rd, I submitted a viewing request through Rightmove for a flat where I fully met all the pre-qualification criteria mentioned in their listing, including income, move-in date, and tenant profile. Since I received no response, I went in person to their office on June 24th. They confirmed that my request was in their system and told me I would be contacted later that day to arrange a viewing. That call never came. I followed up again by email on June 25th, which was also ignored. Meanwhile, I tried calling multiple times during working hours, but their phone line appears to be permanently down. It always plays a message saying no one is available, with no way to leave a voicemail. This is not only unprofessional, it makes them completely unreachable. To make matters worse, the listing was marked as "out of market" on June 25th without any notice or explanation. I was never informed if the property was let, withdrawn, or if I was being considered at all. No courtesy email, no update, nothing. I made every effort to follow their process, I showed genuine interest, I visited their office, followed up in writing and by phone, and I met all their listed requirements. In return, I received complete silence and zero transparency. This is not just poor service – it is a total lack of respect for applicants. If you are a prospective tenant, I strongly advise caution when dealing with this branch. My experience showed a complete breakdown in professionalism, communication, and basic standards of letting practice.
10th Jul 2026 (9 weeks ago)Tom molloy is very professional and hardworking Estate Agent . From first meeting when he came to value our property right through to the very end of completion. We initially had other Agents booked to come and value our property , but after Tom molloy came we cancelled the others he knew his stuff and we were very impressed with how dedicated to his business he is.<br>From the time we agreed for Tom to market our property to it being advertised and first viewing booked was 24hrs. Sold within 9 days after numerous other offers. We have had a few issues from our buyers solicitors etc but Tom got straight on it and sorted out the issues and reported straight back to us.<br>Tom is transparent. Professional and very good at what he does.<br>Highly recommended
