15th Feb 2024 (13 weeks ago)This estate agency is absolutely terrible. As a person trying to buy a home they are rude on the phone and don’t seem proactive, or fussed. I think it’s the worst estate agency I’ve come across and it’s a shame because they seem the prominent agency in Dorset and Devon (perhaps they know they have the monopoly). I’m now searching for homes that are with other estate agents
16th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Our purchase was facilitated by the incredible Helen De Burton. Helen is an ideal figure head for this company as she embodies every potential positive value. She is kind, funny, clever, quick witted, assertive, and hugely supportive. We simply could not have got the purchase off the ground without her. If we ever change careers and open an estate agents ourselves we will poach her. She is a fantastic asset to this firm and we would not hesitate to use her again (we are never ever moving again however!!!). Thank you Helen you are just the best!

The sale was quite complicated and went on for six months, through no fault of Fraser Wheeler, and Paul was there every step of the way encouraging and supporting us. There were times when the sale could have fallen through and Paul handled everything with total professionalism and a deft touch encouraging both sides to come to a mutually satisfactory final settlement. With a special thanks out to Harry and Stuart!- 8th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)You would think buying a house would be an exciting process, unfortunately this was not the case when we wanted to purchase a home that was up for sale with Connells Newton Abbot. After 5 months of purchasing (as advertised) no chain home, lack of due diligence meant that we were miss informed, information was not shared, additional costs were not communicated until week 20 and there was little hurry to complete the sale, the seller was using Connells recommended solicitor who seemed to be useless and could not contact the sellers meaning after five months, we decided we had wasted too much time and money to gain nothing. I wish I had read the reviews before investing, now looking to purchase a new home and dismiss any houses up for sale with Connells - avoid at all cost. As for the ethics of the business, the sale could not go through due to the management covenant wording, lack of communication from the seller, yet the house was back up for sale in a matter of days, at a reduced price… still more than our offer which was accepted, I hope no one falls for these games that Connells Newton Abbot play!

The brochure details were well put together with exceptional photography exceptional. In the end the house sale was quite protracted but they were patient and helped ensure the process stayed on track keeping all parties involved and communicated clearly. I would highly recommend them

From start to finish, from the marketing, house viewings, and finally to completion they made sure I was kept up date and were always available at the end of the phone to answer any of my queries. However, at Pincombes you get a lot more than that….. You Get integrity and You Get Humour….! House moving can have its ups and downs and without fail the way in which Gerald and Kim handled situations is what made the difference. I can’t think of any faults, they were informative with clear communication as well as being kind and supportive. Special shoutouts to Becky and Holly who I felt gave such a personal approach it felt like I was working with a friend. We viewed about 5 other properties before speaking with bond oxborough and I can confidently say that bond oxborough offer much more of a friendly and professional service. This included clear advice so that I could understand my obligations, the necessary checks and inspections and the letting agreement itself. They did an excellent efficient job, communicating well with myself and tenants throughout the process and staying within their original budget estimate. They delivered great value for money and I can thoroughly recommend BOP to anyone with property to let in the Torrington area.
