From the very beginning, the team was professional, friendly, and always willing to help. From the very beginning, Robert, the managing Director who dealt with the sale was so professional, knowledgeable and incredibly supportive throughout what was a very emotional and stressful time for our family. What really set them apart was that they went far beyond simply selling the property. Their advice, guidance and reassurance throughout the entire process were absolutely invaluable. Nothing was ever too much trouble — they were always available to answer questions, explain things clearly and offer genuine support when we needed it most. Their communication was excellent, keeping us updated every step of the way, and their experience and dedication gave us complete confidence throughout the sale. Been told by other estate agents that any one who still uses these excuses or just plan lazy- 4th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)we recently bought a property through Jackson Stops and I cant recommend them enough! Rosanna Diaper was a true professional, communication with her throughout the sale was excellent and she made the whole process so much easier than I expected. 30th Apr 2026 (6 weeks ago)By far the worst estate agents I've ever had to work with, and if I ever see their name again, I'm running in the opposite direction! They seem to forget this may be just a job for them, but for us it's our lives. Couldn't get hold of them for information, but when they needed something from you, it was a different story! 22nd Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)We have bought and sold numerous properties and never have we not had a single viewing ! It was on the market for 24 weeks without a single viewing. They didn’t communicate well and didn’t make any suggestions as to how we could get viewings. Sadly we have removed it from this agent now. The staff were lovely couldn’t fault them but unfortunately we wouldn’t use again, sorry.
18th Dec 2025 (25 weeks ago)the valuer was excellent and gave us confidence that the house was correctly valued. However, for whatever reason, we never got the impression that the people that viewed the house were serious buyers.

Jamie was a superstar throughout, from the no nonsense no pressure visit to value our house right through to supporting us through a very lengthy sales chain and at times nail biting process. Very patient, a great listener and gave us some good advice. We appreciate everything that was done to be able to secure us our new home

They were incredibly understanding of the challenges we faced in finding a landlord willing to accept a tenant receiving benefits. Throughout the process, they were supportive, respectful, and non-discriminatory, something we unfortunately did not experience with some other agents in the area. A special thanks to Andrew, who was our main point of contact. Your understanding and compassionate approach was truly refreshing.

5th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Hurfords Castor throughout my purchase process. What should have been a straightforward communication chain turned into months of chasing, repeated follow-ups and broken promises of “we’ll call you back” that rarely materialised. The most frustrating part has not even been the complexity of the transaction itself, but the complete lack of ownership and urgency despite the fact that my mortgage expiry date was clearly communicated multiple times. I repeatedly found myself having to: chase updates that were promised but never provided follow up multiple times on simple requests contact the office to find out who was even covering the file when the assigned agent was unavailable ask several times for communications to simply be forwarded to the seller At this stage of the transaction, with only days remaining before mortgage expiry, I still found myself struggling to get basic callbacks and confirmations. Reading other reviews, I can unfortunately see that many people appear to have experienced very similar issues around communication and follow-through. Buying a property is stressful enough without clients having to constantly manage the estate agency themselves just to keep momentum on the transaction. I have attached asked the director to intervene at the end of January 2026. It is now May and I still haven't got any replies, nor witnessed any improvements in their client service.

It was a difficult situation and Jodie, Alex and the team handled it with grace which me and my family appreciated immensely.
