10th Apr 2026 (9 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with Bourne Estate Agency. While everything was smooth during our stay at the property, the issues began after we vacated. We left the property on the agreed date, handed over the keys properly, and fulfilled all expectations set by both the landlord and the agency. However, it has now been nearly 3–4 months, and we have still not received our deposit back. We have repeatedly reached out via email to request updates and an estimated timeline, but have received little to no meaningful response. Most of the time, we only get automated replies stating that the concerned person is not in the office. This level of communication and lack of accountability is extremely frustrating. If someone is unavailable, there should be a proper system in place to handle tenant concerns this is not something tenants should have to deal with. As per UK regulations, deposits should be returned within a reasonable timeframe after the tenancy ends, which has clearly not been the case here. Overall, I am very disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience.
31st Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Deal with this estate agent will be nightmare you prepare to be. just bought a house in guildford. given the offer to the seller. the estate agent pushed price and arrange unrealistic exchange and completion date. this results in the seller withdraw the listing. half year later, the seller is ready to sell. the estate agent disclosure both the sellers and buyers personal information to financial brokers and insurance thirdparties for marketing. during the communication with them, it is hugely unreliable and unfriendly. no customer service and professionalism. at the completion date, the sellers cannot give keys to estate agent and the buyers waste time to wait for the keys to be given. completely rubbish. both the sellers and buyers should be avoid..

Grantley’s has been the most responsive and professional lettings agents and management company that I have experienced. If I had a buy to let, I would use them. I’m really going to miss my chats with Samantha. Hopefully one day I will either rent a place managed by them or, if fortunate enough, have a buy to let that they manage.

28th Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)Generally ok, however agent reassured us our family ‘profile’ would appeal to sellers, some days later they sold to a property developer! Not much more to say, I guess more money was the ‘profile’ that won! Also as days lapsed communication went sour. And since they never contacted us regarding any new properties, effectively loosing interest!

Where we didn't have the best of experiences with our solicitors, we cannot fault the support and just general ease of communication we had with Robbie and Curchods.- 15th May 2026 (29 days ago)Unfortunately they were not proactive and the person accompanying the viewings was lacklustre. The feedback was requested by email and through an online form so again there was no positive interaction with viewers to encourage them to get over any concerns they may have had, the feedback given by the second and last viewer was that the decor wasn’t to their liking! I took the property off the market as the only thing they were going to do was want it reduced in price despite pretty much just putting it on rightmove and expecting the house and rightmove to do all the work.

3rd Oct 2024 (1 year ago)Recently sold a property in Guildford; It was a long and tortuous process complicated by the fact that I am living overseas and was very poorly advised as to finding a settlement agent. A first real estate agent made unrealistic market assertions regarding the market then followed up by passing the work to office juniors. Eventually I re-marketed through Kings and was fortunate to have Bipen working on my property. Bipen personally conducted viewings and found a buyer in reasonable time, then worked to achieve a mutually acceptable outcome; Unfortunately, this was only the start- dealing through disinterested settlement lawyers on both sides of the deal was so tedious that I came close to abandoning the sale; Somehow, and mainly through Bipen’s perseverance and patience, the deal was eventually settled and both myself and the buyer can move on. Many thanks to Bipen for sticking with this one- his diligence was literally the only thing between a sale and returning to the rental market! Great outcome all round- Many thanks!
