24th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)"Unprofessional and Costly – Misguided Sellers and Left Buyers Out of Pocket" Review: Terrible experience. After months of progressing toward exchange, the estate agent allowed the sellers to pull out at the very last minute, leaving us with thousands of pounds in losses on legal fees, surveys, and wasted time. Throughout the process, the agency showed poor communication, misleading updates, and a total lack of responsibility in managing the sale properly. Either they couldn’t control the process, or they didn’t care enough to do so. A word of warning to potential sellers—if you’re considering using this agent, be very cautious. Based on our experience, they gave the sellers poor advice, encouraged unprofessional behaviour, and jeopardised the entire transaction. If you want serious buyers to trust your sale, choose a professional agent who won’t let it fall apart at the last minute. Would not recommend to anyone—buyers or sellers.

12th Jun 2026 (7 weeks ago)We cannot thank Joe McDonald enough for the exceptional support, professionalism, and dedication he showed throughout our house purchase journey.<br><br>We first met Joe completely by chance after another viewing in the same area with a different estate agent was unexpectedly cancelled. Hoping not to waste the trip, we contacted Finn’s about another property and, despite it not being scheduled, Joe kindly made time to show us around. That property turned out to be the perfect home for our family.<br><br>From that very first meeting, Joe took the time to understand our circumstances and how much this purchase meant to us. Throughout what became a lengthy and, at times, complex process, he remained steadfast, patient, and incredibly supportive. No matter how many questions we had or how stressful things became, Joe was always available to provide reassurance, updates, and honest guidance.<br><br>What stood out most was Joe’s genuine belief in us and his commitment to helping us reach the finish line. We never felt like just another transaction; we felt supported every step of the way. His calm approach, excellent communication, and willingness to go above and beyond made an enormous difference and helped turn what could have been an overwhelming experience into a far more manageable one.<br><br>We would also like to recognise the wider team at Finn’s, who made us feel welcome and valued from the very beginning. 18th Jul 2026 (16 days ago)Difficult to be sure but we have the impression that the house was shown to viewers with, we guess, not much effort at selling. Feedback on viewings had to be extracted by phone call and was usually minimal. Lots of viewings but not a single offer!

I wanted a quick sale so that my aunt could move into a care home and he achieved this, His recommendations for a solicitor and a house clearer were also very good. I am very grateful to him and would recommend the firm

The team are great at communicating and keep you updated regularly which is always appreciated during a house sale. It was a stressful time for our mum and dad who are in their eighties but the team were always very patient with them. Thank you Alfie and Caroline in particular.

But despite explaining at the valuation that they worked for us and not the buyer, they seemed to be more interested in the buyers needs than ours, trying to get us to accept rubbish offers. In the end, we didn’t listen to them and got a better deal because of it. They also were constant with communication, which could be helpful except they updated us with essentially no update. However, they were quick in listing and had a great online set up with photos etc and were on target with initial valuation. Definitely feels like part of a big firm now, which has it’s benefits and drawbacks.
29th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)I found Godwin Curtis to be a very helpful, caring, attentive and supportive estate agency. I would recommend them highly as they treat their customers individually and with care unlike a lot of agencies.

3rd Jun 2026 (9 weeks ago)Dear Sirs Re CEO/Property Manager @ Admiral Taverns Please find enclosed previous emails i have sent to Tom Nicols at everard cole re purchasing the above name public house. I have liaised with him for a few weeks and after having to chase him up i had a viewing at the property. I put an offer in,& again had no reply to calls or emails re the offer so i withdrew the offer. I did then manage to get hold of him and put a higher offer in again no reply, so chased him again, finally he got back to me and i replied with how i would propose my offer and conditions, 100% wanted the property as you can see from the enclosed emails but its been over a week now and he still has not bothered to reply,& again i emailed him last friday to just at least let me know and still no reply!!!?????????????????? I just wanted you to know thats how potential buyers are being treated by him and Everard Cole. Very unprofessional and disappointing as how many other buyers are being treated this way by Mr Nichols ? Im sure Admiral Taverns deserve the best professional business agency possible for their property sales, but it certainly has not happened in this case. Yours Sincerely have to say how very disappointed and disgusted i am at your very unprofessional business manner and your total disregard for replying to potential clients wishing to purchase properties through your company. AND C/O Mr T Nichols Everard Cole Its been a week since i emailed with a proposal and 4 days since i emailed asking for some clarification neither of which you have bothered to reply to and that after me having to previously chase you up too. For you not to even have the decency to reply shows how unprofessional your company is. Clients waiting to hear from you or trying to make business decisions are treated appallingly, and i have passed on my disgust to both Mr Chris Jowsey and Mr Andrew Hallam at Admiral Taverns and to make them aware of the inept service you are practising towards potential buyers of their properties.. Please do not bother to reply to me at all as there is nothing you can say to justify your incompetence..????????????

The valuer was very friendly and professional, explained everything in detail and had excellent knowledge of the local area. The rate was very fair and included VAT. I was delighted with the photos and the walkthrough which showed my house to it's best. All the viewings went smoothly, giving me plenty of notice and feedback afterwards. Everyone worked hard to get me the best price in the current market and my house sold in less than 8 weeks.

The whole team are so friendly, approachable and straightforward that they take some of the challenge out of the process. The staff are transparent about whats happening - and despite being great at marketing they dont spin you any annoying yarns! They are the estate agents you would wish for!!
