9th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)I would definitely recommend Thomas if you are looking for a brilliant estate agent. His knowledge, communication and feedback went above and beyond what I had ever expected. He answered any queries which I had very promptly .....he gave me excellent advice from our first point of contact. Thomas and Kellie offered ideas to 'tweek' certain aspects of my property to make it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.....which obviously helped as he achieved a sale within four weeks!!! Well done to Thomas and his staff at Essex Guild Homes!!!
15th Apr 2026 (19 days ago)Horizon has managed our rented property in Rochford for nearly twenty years and we have always found them to be a completely professional outfit staffed by people who properly understand the meaning of customer service. Our main point of contact in recent years has been Allison who always provides service with a smile and is a real pleasure to deal with. We have recently decided to sell the property and, of course, the Horizon staff are being as helpful as usual UPDATE When we finally got the property back with vacant possession we were, to say the very least, horrified at the filthy condition in which it had been left. I walked round with Kerry who from her long experience was able to advise several practical options as to what we might or might not do prior to putting it on the market. In the end we decided to undertake a deep clean and redecorate. Four weeks later we placed the property on the market at 11.00 on a Thursday and by 12.05 on the same day Calum had found us a cash buyer and we had agreed terms. (Not sure if this is a record or just “business as usual” for Horizon but either way I was pretty impressed!) After that, Calum kept us fully up to speed with progress and was proactive in sorting out a few issues to keep things moving along.until completion. All in all a relatively pain free experience and as I said in my earlier post it’s always a pleasure dealing with professionals

She guided us step-by-step, was always available for calls, and kept us updated every single day. We always knew exactly where we stood. She was incredibly reassuring, kept everything running smoothly, and really put us at ease. We couldn’t recommend Bairstow Eves enough, especially with Claire handling our sale.

They provided advice on realistic pricing and marketed the property well, securing interest and negotiating a very fair offer. When we encountered a problem with a severe water leak during the cold weather in January, our Agent, Dean Ellis, played a key role in getting the property repaired while retaining the buyer's interest. Dean really went the extra mile for us, arranging contractors, allowing contractor access to the property for us and monitoring/ emptying the dehumidifiers as it dried out. Thanks to Dean the sale was completed on 9th March.

22nd May 2021 (4 years ago)If I could of put 0 stars I would of Pointless for this place to be up and running NO ONE and I mean no one ever replies to your emails, they advertise properties yet do not reply when your requesting a viewing Rude ignorant people do not waste your time with them.
15th Apr 2026 (19 days ago)If I could give zero I would! I’d never rent via Ayers ever again and would never recommend to anyone! The branch in Southend on sea has some very rude staff with no people skills! We rented a flat that had been newly done up on the understanding that there was no issues with it… on the day we moved in there was noticeable water damage to a wall in the main bedroom which we immediately called the office they sent out a builder who told us there was water damage to the external wall and to draw round it with a pen! Over that year we reported more and more problems where we got sent a builder who kept saying we will talk to the landlord but nothing got done! The landlord took over £400 from our deposit because of this issue and over a month after we handed the keys back we’ve been hit with another bill that isn’t our fault and to make it worse it was an email not even a phone call! Overall your staff are rude and don't know how to communicate or even do their jobs correctly! As someone who has rented through a couple of different estate agents I am deeply disappointed, angered and disgusted with how we are being dealt with!

20th Nov 2025 (24 weeks ago)Moved out on 1st of November from a property managed by Lordsons. One month notice was given, as per my contract, and yet deposit is still to be returned by them, even if they had landlord’s confirmation to return in full. Not responding to calls or e-mails and now their website is no longer active. I suspect they never held my deposit in a protection scheme as I cannot find it on any of the main ones. Searching on the internet, it seems like they were banned by Southend Council in 2024. Stay way clear from this con agency!! I suspect a lot more people are or will be in the same position as I am!!

27th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!
