19th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)What are the estate agent playing at, they are now selling a 4 bed house in Elder way Ampthill for £40000 over valuation price, this is a shared ownership property only recently valued at £510,000 Are they that desperate.. And a building society or bank will have a say on this, beware as you could lose thousands of pounds

17th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)Great at obtaining tenants quickly. But unfortunately the experience with the tenant was horrendous. Tenants were found but I doubt much was looked into in their background. And on to checkout, tenanr damaged pretty much the property and nothing was done. So overall not happy with both tenant and agent.
27th Dec 2025 (14 weeks ago)Never sold the house, communication poor. Not sure why you think the house was sold through them, we left it the 8 weeks as promised and will be going elsewhere in Jan.
31st Mar 2026 (5 days ago)5 valuations before choosing agent - 3 at £575000 & 2 at £600000+. Chose Ashtons because of their Assured Move scheme (which eventually buyers did not sign up to) & hope of higher price. Ashtons struck lucky with buyers asking for a property in my road before my house was officially on the market. They negotiated well to achieve £20000 above asking price to keep it off the market. My issues with Ashtons are the service & communication during the conveyancing. Nothing happened from my accepting the offer in mid December until mid January, not even a memorandum of sale. I had to chase this with Charlotte Turner, my sale progresser, who located it in a junk folder. I was promised weekly updates on the progress of the sale which did not happen - only sporadic contact. At the end of February/start of March I discovered, via my solicitor, that my buyers had lost the buyer for their house in early January but had since found a second cash buyer. The buyers had originally told Ashtons they didn’t need to sell in order to buy my house (true) but then decided to align their sale & purchase to ease the stamp duty. Why didn’t Ashtons find this out? Conversations with Ashtons at this point and some improvement in communication. My buyers were “economical with the truth” on several occasions but Ashtons did not uncover this - my solicitor did when I asked . Better progress in March resulting in exchange on March 25th & completion on March 27th. Flowers from Ashtons after completion.

Moving house can be stressful at times, so to have someone like Duncan on side is a brilliant asset. Thank you U&R!
26th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)Satnam was superb and does what he says on the tin. Had a bad expierence with a poor agent in town and we ended up giving Lotus a go. Satnam and Elliott delivered, and now will be looking at giving our other flat in June.
