5th Jan 2024 (11 mo. ago)Open and honest policy regarding fees, house appropriately valued and marketed, professional photographer attended to obtain the sales photos. Amy and Jenny have remained in touch throughout the sales process and been very helpful.
1st Dec 2024 (6 days ago)I bought my first own place through this agency. They were good with arranging the viewing and the handling the offers BUT after my offer was approved MY solicitors had a hard time to get them to settle on the contract exchange and completion dates and finally after (with delays) I moved in they were reluctant to help me contacting the seller who left a lot of mess and damage behind. WOULD AVOID THEM! PS Their response just shows they don't even apologize just keep blaming others. The sellers were and stay awful to the point that I had to chuck their Ring doorbell because they wouldn't transfer it over for 6 months I kept asking.

31st Oct 2024 (5 weeks ago)Very friendly staff but so many issues as a renter. We moved into a rental property end of July. Property was not clean on move in date, after being pushed back to allow for this, and no inventory was complete by themselves so that an agent could confirm this. There was some ceiling work which required contractor attention, it was weeks of chasing for an update on this with promises to be called back with zero follow up. The property is gated with key fob to access the car park, we were told on the drive to the property the key fob they have is broken and they would not be able to provide one straight away. 3 months later we are still calling up with the same answer of "I will chase this and get back to you" with no call back until we call again. Access to the property is a standard expectation when renting surely, and a lot of the things we have had problems with are the bare minimum we are having to chase constantly.

22nd Sep 2024 (11 weeks ago)Avoid!!! A positive start, quickly went down hill. Seller dashboard a waste of time. No leadership or communication across the branch. Patronising office staff who really don't care about their paying clients or situations. Save yourself the time and stress go elsewhere.

22nd Nov 2024 (15 days ago)Deciding who to put your house on the market with is a minefield. I chose Dawson Estate Agent and l don't regret it. Matt & his team have been brilliant. Swift to value the house, take the photos & putting the house on the market; both on their own website but on rightmove & on the market. Communication has been excellent and Matt & his colleagues have kept us informed every step of the way. I highly recommend Dawsons should you want to sell your home.

(185 reviews)15th Oct 2024 (8 weeks ago)The whole process was made exceptionally easy by this really friendly team. From the moment of the valuation visit I knew they were right for the job. Everything was explained clearly and I had real confidence which put my mind at ease given it was the sale of my mums house after she was moved into a care home. Emails were always answered quickly, usually within a matter of minutes, which was great given I live over 90 miles away from the property being sold. Could not recommend Martin Thornton and the team highly enough and would definitely use them again if I was selling a property in the Huddersfield area.

18th Mar 2024 (8 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

23rd Nov 2024 (14 days ago)Home and Manor gate a valuation lower than some but explained the rationale. It was an open discussion led by an expert. This has led to 7 viewings and the plot being sold after several viewings. The agents have been at most viewings and have been proactive at gathering feedback and keeping in touch to discuss options and next steps. I'm particularly pleased they have a member of the team to support conveyancing. As my experience of selling has been much better with this support previously.
4th Dec 2024 (3 days ago)Very little interest from buyers. Approx 8 potential viewings in 12 weeks. A large percentage of arranged viewings were cancelled at short notice. Very disappointed
