20th May 2024 (17 weeks ago)Absolutely rubbish. Nobody answers the phone the whole day. I have been trying to speak to someone and it just keeps going to answerphone. It was the same last week as well.
19th Apr 2023 (1 year ago)Thank you to Debbie Anderson in particular who if it wasn't for you, I don't think our sale would of been possible. She constantly kept everyone in the loop. Was very patient as at some times I was really stressed. The sale took months to go through, but finally today we completed. Thank you everyone at Park Estates. You're a great team.
3rd Sep 2024 (16 days ago)The service provided by Robert Leech, as property buyers, was excellent throughout. From the point of contact, through to the presentation and subsequent viewing of the property, including the process of providing offers together with an outline of the overall conveyancing process and timescale, was professionally and expertly explained, planned and implemented. The process of arranging and accompanying viewings, as part of the purchase process, through to the contract completion of the property, was handled with due care and diligence to us as buyers, to ensure that there was continuity of communication with all parties including the solicitors for both parties. The service provided by the team at Robert Leech, Lingfield, specifically Christine Taylor as lead negotiator along with her wider colleagues, ensured that the purchasing process went as smoothly as possible and any queries raised were dealt with promptly and efficiently right through until completion. We would have no hesitation in recommending Robert Leech to other potential buyers; or sellers, and would use their services again in the event that we would need to either purchase or sell another property.

2nd May 2023 (1 year ago)The staff at the West Kingsdown branch of Wards have been very welcoming, helpful and proactive. They respond to telephone calls and queries quickly. They seem to know their local market and I trust their advice. As a client, you can open an online account which contains all the relevant information about progress with the sale. It is easy to use and very informative.
17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)What a different way to sell a home, with supportive, gentle and trustworthy people. We’d been mulling over the idea of relocating out of London for years and even discussed putting our home on the market with Unique previously. What we like is that there is no big sales pitch, no pressure to sell, just listening and responding. But more importantly, keeping both our buyers and us calm, communicative and friendly throughout the sale, so it felt as smooth as it could possibly be. We’re not planning to do move again any time soon, but we’d definitely use Unique if we were.
10th Oct 2023 (11 mo. ago)From a landmark buildings perspective of East Grinstead this is one of the outstanding gems of architectural heritage. A simply beautiful building. I've often looked at the wonderful construction. And wondered its history. I used to do dowsing as a hobby years ago and marvelled at the apparent fact of all the underground catacombs and tunnels - of which there are many - seem for some reason to make for under this impressive old building.

As soon as our property had been valued and the details made available the first viewing was taking place the very next day. All the people we had contact with were always helpful and very friendly helping us through a few difficult moments and we would not hesitate in recommend them.
28th Aug 2024 (22 days ago)For the future customers of this company, please be alert and aware of fictitious property viewing. You should check whether someone gets the opportunity to view the property far ahead of the day you are going to do it. My partner and I enquired about a house in Exeter managed by Legg & Co. They let us know that the property viewing is planned for Friday and Saturday, and they assigned me to the property viewing on Friday morning. However, nobody was at the house at the appointed time. When I called the office, They said there had been property viewings on Tuesday, and all of them applied for this house, so they closed the property viewing process. Several flaws in the service process came up. First, I am not sure why they did not let me know the change of status on property although they had abundant time from Tuesday. The attitude of an employee whom I called is also an issue. Admittedly, the property market is not a daily business so it may not be likely to contact the company Legg & Co for property in the future. Nevertheless, for the long-term business, it is not a good attitude to approach it like "whatever": our property is going to be sold, so it is done, do you think I care?

Communication was excellent and they were considerate with their time and patience. Very friendly and helpful throughout and always cheerful which is not always the case with several other estate agents we had contact with when house hunting. Would recommend them unreservedly.

Always available on the end of the phone or quick with a reply email took the anxiety (well kept it to a minimum)out of house buying.

No pressure and tricks that some other agents use. He also helped us out with a few "moving in" formalities (which he didn't have to do), which we are grateful for. We are very happy with our new home and highly recommend Steve & Bardens Estates.

The sub contractors sent to do various repairs & inspections are of the same hog standard. eg. My CO alarm went off on Sat night of a Bank Holiday weekend & my email was replied to on the Sun by Victoria Dooley. Repair & inspection done asap. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE.

He has an in-depth understanding of the local market and knew exactly how to stage the house to maximise its appeal. He quickly secured a buyer in a great position and was without exception available for any questions and to keep on top of the solicitors on both sides. He remained level headed through what can be a very stressful situation and I would unreservedly recommend him!

Instead of going for the same kind of corporate, profit driven, pushy stereotype that we have all come to know (and loathe) the team at Hestia’s are the opposite. Their focus is on individuals, they want to really get to know and help people. The people who’s houses they are tasked with selling but also the people who want to buy them. We instinctively got on well with the team from our first meeting and it was just a pleasure working with them. Conversations were always professional and productive, but most importantly they were conversations and at no point did we feel dictated to. Viewings were handled respectfully; communication was great with plenty of notice at every turn and they found perfect buyers for our home. As with any process there were complications, but Hestia’s made a huge effort to help us and our buyer overcome these issues which made everything work in the end. In short without their help, we would not have been able to move when we did. I would not hesitate in recommending Hestia’s to anyone trying to sell their home in South London. They are brilliant and we can’t thank them enough for the effort they put in.

Informative, proactive and no need to chase them for information as they were already on the case. Nice guys to deal with and we would recommend them to anyone looking to sell, as we will be using them in the future.
