They have gone above and beyond to ensure that everything has been handled correctly and that the resolution has been reached in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend the very professional John Alexander staff in the future, having dealt with both Tiptree and Colchester offices. Everyone I have had dealings with in the company has been exemplary - well done, and thank you! ADDED COMMENT - March 2026 - A big thank you to all the staff at John Alexander for their continued patience for nearly another year - they had no problem selling my property, but were severely obstructed by events out of their control. Despite this, they pursued every angle to try to get the best conclusion for me. I am so grateful to them for handling everything in a professional and courteous manner. These people really do everything they can to help.

22nd Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.

Make lots of promises and will not deliver do not use ,,, I am very disappointed and would not like you to be the same its have development property with 5 holiday lodges and gentlemen told me he would be very interested in this property and selling units he is a lier do not trust this company

I was due to have a valuation today with Abbotts Watton however over the weekend was approached by another local estate agent who also got us viewings lined up for over the next few days. My partner called to let them know that we appreciate their time but will not be signing with them. The lady on the phone was very blunt and after hearing this news did not even say bye and just hung up the phone. Unfortunate as we received such good customer service up until this point.- 5th Feb 2026 (8 weeks ago)Always a bumpy ride buying and selling homes. Charlie and his team from Jackson Stopps stuck with and made it happen for us. Well done and thanks again to all the crew in the Bury St Edmunds office.

Within hours he called us with the valuation explaining exactly why it was that price and then explained the process / options and gave us time to work through the the best route to take. An absolute 5* star service and I would not hesitate to contact them to sell my property. Thank you Nick absolutely great service.

Wh brown assisted us on the sale of our house they were very professional and arranged all the viewings which made it less stressful special thanks to Sam Woodbridge who is friendly , professional and easy to talk to nothing is to much trouble and he made the whole process less stressful .. thanks again Mr & Mrs Carr

4th Mar 2026 (4 weeks ago)Don't even waste your time. Viewed a house on Monday. Asked for an application for it. Did not come through so chased it. Eventually came through on Tuesday, so filled it out and sent it in. Then told on Wednesday that it had been rented. Turns out they did not wait for my application, even though they knew it was coming. Just presented the first one they got to the landlord, who no doubt acepted it because he thought it was the only one. Since when has renting been a race and the winner is whoever gets the application in first. Waste of my time.- 16th Mar 2026 (19 days ago)As we have just now exchanged and completed on our house sale we thought it was high time to leave a review for W H Brown East. In particular we would like to give a special mention to Manager Tanya who has without question simply gone above and beyond. Nothing has ever been to much trouble and she has always kept us updated of where we were at in the process even when the Solicitors at times did not. She is an excellent communicator and negotiator and it is not hard to see why she is the Manager. Tanya truly is a superb Estate Agent and one that we would highly recommend. We would at the same time like to give special mention to her team of Ryan Lilley and Jay. They are always so helpful, professional and positive. Ryan is a very polite and bright young man who will go far we are sure. We would once again thank and praise Tanya and team for all they have done which has enabled us to start a wonderful new chapter in our life. Thank you all and we really are so truly grateful.

He answered all of our questions from our initial interest in the home, initial viewing, lease agreement, up until it was time to receive our keys. My wife and I would recommend Hazell's to anyone moving to the Bury St Edmonds area!

But I still feel I have to comment on how professional all the team were that helped us they couldnt have been more supportive. Rebecca Jade Stuart and Connor were always on hand to answer any questions about any queries we had I would highly recommend them as Estate Agents and there professionalism.
