4th Feb 2025 (10 days ago)After working with several estate agents throughout our two-year journey of searching for a home, selling our property, and purchasing another, Martin stands out as the most impressive and thorough agent we've encountered. Although he represented our vendor, his meticulousness and expertise benefited us greatly. As we are buyers in the middle of a chain, we had a few challenges along the way when our own agent did not properly vet our buyer or when our buyers were slow to act, risking the chain to fall apart. On multiple occasions, Martin provided really good advice on how to navigate these issues, which helped the whole process keep moving forward. Thanks to his help, we finally completed our purchase after a long and complex year. Next time we sale our property, we know who to come to.

I have to say they obviously had buyers in their portfolio wanting to buy our home in our location as we had two offers on the table on same day viewing and sold our home in 2 hours living on town park Harlow .

16th Jun 2024 (7 mo. ago)Was dealt the worst tenancy of my life through Lifestyle Property. Within 3 weeks of living at the flat we were burgled, front door was taken off the wall so we had no choice but to phone the landlord and was told we ‘ruined his Sunday evening’. The property made us all severely sick for months at the result of black mould. We had doctors notes and the landlord disregarded all proof that the mould was a result of poor insulation. Adam and the management team at Lifestyle property were reluctant to help in anyway, Adam asked us to send him evidence of the flat and instead of giving advice, he ignored emails and decided he no longer wanted to help. Useless estate agents and I would advise anyone to stay away from Lifestyle property, especially if the landlord is Lee Poppy.

Via Properties let our property for us after it had been marketed with two other local agents - we were initially doubtful on what extra service they would give us but we are so glad we worked with them & wished we had them on board from the start!! Their service from start to finish was second to none, really friendly and informative, proactive and reassuring. The photography and marketing they put together was brilliant and quick. They found our tenants within a few weeks in a very quiet market. They were on hand to answer any questions and always responded to us quickly and helpfully. As first time landlords they really guided us through the process step by step and I always felt up to date and informed throughout. We were able to have open and honest discussions with Enzo and he really listened to us as clients and endeavoured to deliver the best result for us whilst taking all our concerns into consideration. We will no doubt use them in the future for our property needs for both sales and lettings. Just want to say a huge thank you to you all!

His agency stands out from the rest due to his highly personal service; we spoke with or saw only him so felt super confident he was fully engaged and invested in our sale at all times. His comms were also excellent, as were his problem-solving skills and professional partners. The photography was outstanding, with much thought taken in both the planning and execution. Highly recommended!

11th Feb 2025 (3 days ago)I recently used Shepherds to handle my sale and purchase. Andy and Nathaniel were fantastic from start to finish, always available on the phone and communicated honestly and clearly throughout all stages of the transaction. They were also able to assist with recommendations for solicitors, local surveyors, EPC providers and worked with all to keep matters moving. Very satisfied all round and would recommend.
5th Oct 2022 (2 years ago)We had a really bad experience with this estate agent, so beware. We had an offer accepted on a property, Jerome did the usual of taking our ID, proof of deposit, agreement in principle etc and confirmed acceptance. Three weeks later our solicitor raised our attention to the fact that the sellers solicitor had yet to issue draft contracts. After another week I finally got hold of Jerome who confirmed that the seller wouldn't issue the draft contract until we had a confirmed mortgage offer on the property. I told Jerome that wasn't the normal sequence we were familiar with, but he assured me that was how sales progressed in his experience. We went back to our solicitor who advised us that they would indeed normally wait for draft contracts to be issued before proceeding with searches and surveys etc. So we gave the sellers solicitor a deadline before we would reconsider the offer. On the day of the deadline the seller issued a race contract and advised us that there was another interested party who's offer had also been accepted and the seller would exchange with the party which secured a mortgage offer first. I don't know whether Jerome was aware that the seller had accepted multiple offers when we had our conversation, but my instinct at the time told me he wasn't being open and honest about the sellers intentions. So beware of this agent in case they try this with you.

Barry has been so supportive and answered all our questions and concerns with speed and professionalism, and has championed for us across all the various channels. We couldn't recommend Butler Residential and Barry enough.
13th Feb 2025 (1 day ago)Initally an amazing pitch making it unique ie small firm, personal touch. Made out they’d be amazing photographs rather than phone pictures. I’d say they were the same. 10 grand over valuations in area so eventually had to drop it. Pressured into leaving property even though chain sale didn’t go through/ money not gone. Waited hours in limbo with no property in dark with children, yet the people buying house just wanted keys and wasn’t moving in that day.

They are professionals, and are at the top of their game. Their communication, attention to detail and friendliness is industry leading. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Given their experience with the block in question, I had confidence that Tom and James could achieve a sale at an improved price-level compared with competitor agents that were consistently lower in their valuation pricing. Ultimately despite some unavoidable delays induced by 3rd parties, James & Tom achieved the flat sale in line with my price expectations and I remain very satisfied with their service.
10th Feb 2025 (4 days ago)Knightons managed the rental of an apartment, in which I had a one third share, from 2017 until 2024. They found good tenants to occupy the flat. They promptly reported defects and required maintenance, and we were able to resolve these matters quickly and efficiently. When the time came to sell the apartment, Knightons handled the matter very well, even though it took many months to conclude the process. All my contacts at Knightons were polite and helpful.
