I have to say that I have been very disappointed with your service for the following reason:
We could have completed on February 14th (as our buyer desperately wanted) but because your agent continuously told the buyer it would be impossible to complete the conveyancing by then (and perhaps even lucky to do so in March even), it scared them into extending their rental lease for a further month and thus delaying completion until March. I was told the same by your agent but our solicitors said it might be possible and it has proven that it was.
I was not updated at all by your staff over the progress with the sale. I was the one doing all of the chasing and updating you. On one occasion I went into your shop to specifically ask you to contact our buyer to see if he was happy with the completion date proposed and to exchange. Your member of staff scribbled a note on an already full scrap of paper and then clearly forgot as nothing happened and so I contacted the buyer myself. I informed you when we were going to exchange and complete and when we had exchanged.
The only positive experience was Emma, who was good at what she did.
Thanks Lucy, but I did complain and asked that you might consider knocking a bit of the bill as a goodwill gesture. I got a defensive reply and asked to fill out a form! Its what I expected would happen as opposed to you acknowledging the poor service and offering a goodwill gesture of a small reduction.

Found Abbotts to be very helpful especially Darren going out of his way to go for a second viewing of a property on the same day and out of hours! Would highly recommend them as an estate agent!

From the moment I called Abbotts Estate Agents the process for selling my home went smoothly. Diane was very helpful and knowledgeable which gave me the comfort of being in good hands. I would not hesitate to use Abbotts again in the future. I also have to point out that the photographer was superb as well, nothing was too much trouble and his skills reflected in the pictures. Huge thank you to both Peter and Samantha for being absolute angels during the most stressful move ever!
They were beyond understanding and accommodating when things went wrong multiple times and didn't end up getting to view the place before moving in, but I really felt like their work ensured that I wasn't getting any less in terms of service.
Thank you especially to Samantha who was so kind and waited for me to get my cat up to Colchester by train after my movers let me down twice. She is such a kind, lovely person to have been in contact with for this, and I wish her all the best!
