The current housing market is in a tricky situation with the on-going Middle-East war and with uncertain economic future, resulting in becoming a Buyers' housing market. Under the circumstance it was difficult to value or to determining reasonable or realistic Asking price. After some trial and error, the correct asking price, though below the current market price, was established. Having bought the house some twenty-five years earlier, it wasn't all that difficult for the reduction of asking price. Throughout the process, Winkworth communication and advising efforts were efficiently performed. Perhaps, the Selling Estate Agents are also in the re-learning process of the current market situation. It is likely that any sellers who have bought recently, say within five-six years earlier would have difficulties in recovering the original cost price!

I used Winkworth's services to find a tenant (advertise, do viewings, background checks and inventory etc). Awful experience with sales. I found my sales agent unhelpful, vindictive, and overall ineffective. Despite all of the initial promises, shortly after I signed the contract, she suddenly had no faith in her own valuation and confidence that she could sell the property and the communication fell off a cliff. I received no detailed feedback following several viewings until I said I was moving to another agent (at which point she suddenly and immediately responded saying she had been ill however, the communication was poor both before and after this). The one offer received was negotiated by Castles out of pity for my situation (and without seeking a fee) and it was Castles that kept me usefully updated although Winkworth would receive the fee since the buyer approached Winkworth. I regret the time I lost with this agent. Hopefully there wil be some self reflection from this branch rather than disputing everything I say and attempting to discredit me (as I expect from my experience), although having moved on, I won't read their response.

Winkworths were great at finding prospective buyers for our Mothers home in Beaconsfield and secured a buyer in May 2025. That was the easy bit! We then had the most extraordinary family delays over probate and finding lost documents - and Justin at Winkworths had the tricky task of trying to keep our buyer on board - for a year! Somehow, through excellent and honest communications at all times with all parties, Justin managed this, and we finally completed on the sale this month to our original buyer. Thank you very much Justin and team!

From the very beginning, when my partner and I were looking to rent around Surbiton, Winkworth have been absolutely outstanding, the communication and service have been truly 5 star worthy even after the tenancy has started.
I'd like to give all the members of the team at Winkworth Surbiton a shout out with Ryan in particular who had assisted us during the whole process. He is a true professional who excels at what he does and is a credit to the company! Every step of the way he was reassuring from showing us around the property, answering questions, displaying knowledge of the area and providing us with updates on the property.

Victoria honestly went above and beyond to help me find the right place. Firstly she was just super friendly and chatty and represented the business really well. Terrible service, from people who are not attentive and do not care. had to sell the house privately and then then went legal for a fee they did not earn, as they had taken the house off rightmove etc and did not keep in contact with the buyer, lawyers or anyone. Lesson is to read the fine details of estate agents contracts
