Despite requests by email and telephone on several occasions to remove their board from our property, it's still there nearly 3 months later Problem with Estate Agents in general, all over you like a rash till you sign up with them after that their only suggestions to achieve a sale is reduce the price.Then customer service disappears faster than a unicorn.

As a first time buyer having gone to a few different estate agents I can confidently say that going forward with Connells was the best decision I made. The mortgage advisor Sian Williams was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She took her time to clearly explain everything and always kept me updated which was very appreciated especially as a first time buyer. I will definitely recommend their services.

(31 reviews)8th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)Agent turned up one and a half hours late for property inspection, no phone call to inform me. When I called their office a women said she has asked the women coming to visit to call me but she didn't bother. When I challenged her she said she had not been asked to call me to say she was going to be late only when she has finished her inspection (who's telling the truth) RED FLAG. She also whined on about being in a meeting and that she had only been working there for a week or so NOT MY PROBLEM not interested in time wasters. I needed to contact my landlord to inform him of the poor service he is paying for and in then contacted PP. A long story short when the evidence was put to Simon Bacon the manager he had no choice but to apologise to my landlord but no apology to me for wasting my time. Always going to apologise to the landlord because he's paying him. VERY POOR appears there is no proper in house or external communication. Glad I'm only going to here for a short period of time.
9th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)We had a bad experience with this company for Liasoning between the house owner and tenants. There seems to be a biased opinion and didn't support tenants for genuine tenancy issues. Completely inexperienced staff to deal with.

The whole Preferential team have been fantastic but specially Emma K since I dealt with her from day one till the end of the tenancy, she is brilliant. to be fair they always fixed any fault in the property pretty quickly so thanks to Victoria for this. I did not deal much with the director Simon but he did some adjustments to my contract to be able to give the month notice from the day I exchanged contracts of the property I purchased so thanks for this. From our side we have kept the property always clean and taken care of it as if it was ours. I recommend Preferential.

From organising the survey, photos and advertising, through to conducting most of the viewings, Gary was extremely approachable and professional at all times. We felt very comfortable with him showing people around our house and he did this with the utmost respect. This all resulted in a successful sale and happy customers!

Choosing a estate agents to sell your home and putting all your trust into them is one thing, 5 weeks into a agreed sale to then be told there not even sure the buyers have even got a mortgage in principle, Chris the sales guy was trying to purchase some of the land attached to the property and trying to dictate sales to suit the purchase of the land is very unprofessional, we then decided we wanted to change estate agents due to the unprofessionalism and Chris decided to call up the new estate agents and try to sabotage the new listing, we then had a viewing on the property via the new estate agents and the potential buyer called chosen by mistake Chris was not finished he started slating the property and tried his best to put them off, we are extremely Disappointed with this type of behaviour and unprofessionalism, shocking to think your trusting these people to sell your home .- 6th Jul 2024 (21 days ago)Over priced my property so it didn't attract interest. Insufficient follow up with viewers. Only had 2 viewers and I had to carry out one of those myself.
5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
