22nd Jun 2025 (19 days ago)Sophie and John at Bridgfords in Walkden have been fantastic in securing a new house. I am a "details" person (and probably a little OCD) so I had many questions during the process - but all the staff in Walkden were always ready to talk me through issues and queries, and I always had a call back if they were out with other clients. I found the service to be personal: I really felt that they were as invested in the house purchase as I was, and it made all the difference. Their local knowledge is excellent and they were also able to talk me through concerns as they arose. If you're looking to buy, I would strongly recommend the team at Bridgford's in Walkden.
5th Jul 2025 (6 days ago)I strongly advise anyone considering renting from Hyde Letting Agency to think twice. From the start, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. The property we rented was far from the “fully renovated” house they claimed. There were numerous issues, especially in the toilet area, which we raised multiple times. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, we were blamed for the problems, and the staff were often rude and dismissive. The landlord refused to cover any maintenance costs, leaving us to deal with the issues ourselves. Frequent and unannounced inspections made living there feel intrusive and uncomfortable. Despite repainting and thoroughly cleaning the property before we moved out, we did not receive our full deposit back. They deducted a significant portion for reasons that felt unfair and unjustified. If you still decide to rent through Hyde, make sure to take detailed photos and videos of the entire property before moving in. Protect yourself—because they definitely won’t.

Nothing was ever too much and the team was always prepared to go that extra mile to ensure world class services. They stand true to their promises and are always looking for the best solutions and do not rest until all is completed at the highest standard. The whole process was as smooth as possible, the team always responded promptly to all the queries, suggested the most efficient solutions and made everything stress free for us. I highly recommend Northwood. Although we decided in the end to sell our house, we met the rentals team as well and couldn't be happier with all the advice and services we received from both sides. A lot of people don't like to have a house check but to us it made us feel good that if we had any problems we could let them know and it was dealt with straight away.
