4th Dec 2021 (2 years ago)Emma from the Chelmsford office has been fantastic from the first meeting we had when we viewed a new build home. She clearly knew the market and the area to give us the best guidance to put in a successful offer on our new home. The building site was very restricted for additional viewings, but Emma was very cooperative for us to gain access, and for trades to arrange dates with her to measure up. Invaluable for us to have a successful and easy move. Thank you Emma, you really did make the difference to our purchase.

2nd Jun 2023 (1 year ago)I was very disappointed with the lack of any interest in my property. I was constantly told that sales in the area were virtually nil, and to reduce the price, this brought no more interest at all to the table. I decided to take my property off the market, at least until my contract time with Chewton rose is up.
1st Oct 2024 (9 weeks ago)The photos that were taken of our home were not acceptable and two days later they sent out a different photographer. The commission rate was higher than most other estate agents. They gave us feedback from people they had contacted, but the feedback was very negative not from the estate agent but by the people they had spoken to which tended to put us off and we have now gone back to our original estate agents.

Tireless in her campaign to find the right tenant and keep on top of regular inspections she has been great, keeps us in the loop the whole time, fearless but always with a smile on her face.

20th Aug 2022 (2 years ago)Despite promises of being two people to run our open house, it felt like they sent the office junior who knew nothing about the property, and seemed to be nothing more than a glorified doorman. This meant that out of 20 viewing (and being assured of getting “7 or 8 offers well over the asking price” we had just two- one well below the offers over price. From there, the communication was practically non existent unless we done the chasing. We had used a different branch of theirs before who I would rate 5 star, but Colchester high street branch was terrible this time. Our final thoughts was that the house was undersold on the day, and awful communication.

31st Oct 2024 (5 weeks ago)We had a lot of difficulty with various things when selling our late mothers flat (no fault of Ardent). Paul and Brett at Ardent were excellent in chasing up third parties, keeping everyone informed and keeping the sale intact. Everything was highly professional and they have the patience of a saint! I would not hesitate in recommending them. Really good estate agents.

13th Jul 2024 (21 weeks ago)No idea how this estate agent sells houses or if they only earmark properties they post for specific clients/buyers already known to the business. Very oddly run, you phone up and are put through to an admin team of sorts, never an agent. They will take your details and say they will pass it onto the agent who will allegedly phone you themselves, they won’t give you the agents details either so you have to just wait for this call. It’s been just over a week of me trying to view a particular property, phoned in multiple times to no avail. - Update, if you find out who the agent dealing with the property is, you can try find their contact details on the actual website, the lady I dealt with was actually sound & treated me the way I’d expect to be, like 90% of other estate agent companies would’ve.

Liam was extremely knowledgeable, clued in on the local area and how to market the property to its best effect. The property was uploaded Thurs evening and by Monday afternoon, e.g. 4 days later we had received 6 viewings and an offer over the starting price. This experience far outweighed our expectations and Liam is a real pro in an industry that can been seen as somewhat cut throat. Liam set realistic expectations and over delivered on those expectations. I would highly recommend The Agency UK as a result. Thank you ????
