13th Nov 2025 (5 weeks ago)I have recently purchased a property through this outfit, something I will never repeat again following this experience! For some further clarity, I also own a national property company selling hundreds of houses a months and dealing with estate agents across the whole country, hence I feel strongly enough to write this review. Prior to exchange we stumbled across mis-descriptions within their listings online. They have clearly stated ‘space for’ items that are going and not for items that are staying, makes complete sense yes…..well no!! That doesn’t seem to follow suit with Fenn wright listings so we are advised. They have clearly listed an item in their description outside including kennels and overground pool, the kennels aren’t going but apparently the over ground pool is, who would ever know that from the description which states exactly; “ The main garden is found between the cottage and annexe with lawns and pathways enclosed by post and rail fencing. There is an overground swimming pool and a kennel building” It’s clearly property mis descriptions with the agent not having a leg to stand on. I now have an upset child to add to the woes of this appalling purchase process. This coupled with a sales progressor in K****y who was super keen on aborting the sale at every turn, I was asked 5 or 6 times during the process if I wanted to pull out of the sale, with her abrupt and rude attitude throughout. There were occasions where the sales progressor was not in and different information was advised that may or may not have been correct. The sales progress or also not in as many words laid claim on colleagues for this mis informed updates. All in all it was a shambles and took forever. Fenn wright had no care for me as a purchaser along the journey which was extremely disappointing and worrying at times. I have now raised a formal complaint and will look to escalate this to the property ombudsman for a satisfactory outcome. Just to top this off, my wife collected the keys today from the Stanway office and was treated so poorly she left upset from the shear rudeness of the staff that handed (threw) the keys over. Beyond rude!!! Poor show Fenn Wright, poor show!

His empathetic and human approach to a daunting task made the transition of products much easier. I had complications with my personal finances which he tackled sensitively and with rigorous research. Thank you Ashley. - K

They are still the same bunch of people who will try to rip you off on every single occasion. Please avoid at all cost. There are plenty good agencies out there

25th Nov 2025 (21 days ago)We have used Kings Property in the past finding tenants for our rental property but this was the first time we had used their services for sales. Again, the service that we received from James, Tracy, Callum and the team was excellent. After perseverance from them, a buyer was found! The after sales service was great - we were kept up to date with everything and the minor hiccups were sorted out quickly by James enabling the sale to proceed to completion. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Kings Property to any vendors or landlords. Thanks guys!

They also kept my buyers in place from start to finish which was circa 10 Months so was really grateful for that.

I have been hugely impressed with her standard of customer care, kindness and patience in explaining things clearly to this 75 year old technophobe. I know Kingsleigh are a small family run estate and lettings agent and that shows in their attention to detail and friendly manner. For the last 28 years of my working life I worked for the NHS managing a team of patient facing staff, in two large hospitals, whose prime function was customer(people) care for which we won awards. it is safe to say I know a bit about customer care and Kingsleigh and Nicky provide a 5 star plus service. 30th Sep 2025 (11 weeks ago)I truly couldn’t recommend Nick & Holly enough, we had our house on the market for 10 weeks with another agent after a recommendation form somebody, although we had used Patrick James to buy our house before by week two of being with the other agents we were kicking ourselves by not going back with them straight from the off! After being in contact we decided Patrick James were the only way forward and low and behold our house was sold within a week of it being on the market with them, through their own hard work of caring and making the effort to sell for us. They are always there when you need them especially in the nervy few days before exchange. They truly are a very well run small business and very lovely couple to go with it. Keep at it guys, honestly as we have said before we are very grateful, and would recommend you a million times over.

27th Nov 2025 (19 days ago)I recently dealt with virtually every letting agent in Colchester. Ezelet were far and away the best of all of them! Excellent service throughout the process, open and transparent and they responded quickly to an initial maintenance issue. I would highly recommend them as a tenant and would happily use them again.
