14th Oct 2024 (6 mo. ago)5 years on and I used Mark again to find a tenant and he and the team delivered again! They were brilliant again and found me yet another fantastic tenant! I cannot recommend this team enough. Mark has exceptionally good judgment and people skills and he seems to always under promise and over deliver. He is incredibly easy to work with, respectful of both landlords and tenants, listens to your needs, then goes out and finds super tenants. They whole team pulled together to make it happen and I cannot thank them enough. This is another review I wrote 5 years ago and it is still standing: I was in fact not planning on ever using David Evans as I find their shop window displays a bit old fashioned, but when I invited Mark along to get a third quote when I was having my house valued, he made me change my mind as he seemed such a nice and decent person. So when I decided to let the house instead of selling it, he was my first choice. Even though his rental price suggestion wasn't the highest, my priority is to have long term trouble free tenants, so I went with him. He listened carefully to my brief and took his time to find the right tenant and came up trumps. He found me a brilliant set of tenants! Mark is a thoroughly decent person who works as hard for you as he would for himself. He prioritises giving excellent service and building long term relationships with people, and that is fairly rare in this business. I have been buying, selling and letting for 25 years now and Mark is the best person in the business I have ever dealt with. Thoroughly trustworthy and highly recommended!

22nd Feb 2025 (9 weeks ago)Sarah, Leanne and all staff at Cranbrook were brilliant at sending round masses of viewings and persevering after offers were withdrawn. They gave us lots of valuable advice throughout and were always readily available to discuss any issues that arose. We would have no hestitation in using them again.

1st Apr 2025 (26 days ago)I'd lost complete faith in estate agents until we instructed Kimber to take over. We'd been dealing with a complete absence of communication, sales strategy, and attention to detail with a previous agent but Kimber were nothing short of amazing. Clear and regular communication, made sure they were familiar with the house before viewings, regular discussions on strategy for selling, and generally just really lovely people. Cannot recommend them enough.

11th Dec 2024 (20 weeks ago)We chose Proper Local to manage our tenancy, moving in this August, with hopes of supporting a small business. Initially, Christian, the owner, was welcoming. However, after signing the contract, the service took a sharp decline. The issues started with the alleged professional cleaning. Garden furniture and several areas were left filthy, which was dismissed as meeting their cleaning standards. Despite paying for a garden we cannot fully use, the problem remains unresolved. Shortly after moving in, the shower door in the second bathroom broke with a single touch. This left the shower unusable for over three months, with Proper Local offering endless excuses, even suggesting we “just put a towel down.” The washing machine was making loud noises shortly after moving in, we were told to wedge cardboard under it. The engineer stabilised it, but it did was not addressing the root issue. Predictably, the machine broke completely, leaving us without laundry facilities in winter. We were forced to use a laundromat, and Gosia suggested minimizing laundromat use, as reimbursement wasn’t guaranteed. Replacement only came after persistent pressure. The dishwasher stopped working and took five weeks of chasing to repair a simple issue. Similarly, a bathroom heater never functioned properly. Despite engineer visits confirming a need for system flushing, contradictory excuses were provided, claiming the heater wasn’t meant to reach higher temperatures and suggesting we "open the door to heat the bathroom." The heater remains nonfunctional despite the cold weather. Frustrated with their neglectful and dismissive attitude, we filed a formal complaint. Instead of addressing our concerns, we were served a Section 21 eviction notice in less than 24 hours after. Service worsened, and unresolved issues persisted. Adding to the distress, they accused us of being "too loud" in the garden—a complaint never raised before and which felt borderline racist, given our diverse cultural background. We unfortunately cannot recommend Proper Local or their landlords. The service was consistently unprofessional, neglectful, and dismissive. We are prepared to escalate our complaint to the Property Ombudsman if necessary.

Don't get wrapped up in needlessly complicated processes like another prominent local agent. I do rentals with them but someone I know said they were very good with her sale and the sales team seem very nice when I have spoken to them.
9th Apr 2025 (18 days ago)Absolutely amazing experience with the Miles and Barr guys! Birchington office were great to deal with, always kept me updated where necessary and gave great advice. We had an offer on the table within about 4 weeks from listing the property online. After receiving the offer it has been a smooth experience with the assistance of Debbie Mead my sales progressor and have just exchanged today after 6 weeks, with completion being next week. 5/5 service!

31st Mar 2025 (27 days ago)Express agency. Took a long time to advertise my property. Poor quality viewers and don’t seem to be vetted properly, had to provide Own photos and deal with viewings myself and yet charged the 1.5% commission rate. Valuation completely innacurate and had to lower the price twice due to unfamiliarity of the local market. Never will i go for an online estate agency based in the north. That aspect of it should not be allowed. Potentially wasted 2 months of mortgage without rent due to poor level of standards from EXpress Agency. Had my house to sell as well and told them outright, I would never consider them again.

9th Apr 2025 (18 days ago)We had a visit from Clare. She talked us very clearly through a comprehensive guide to what Wilsons Real Estate could offer us. There was no unnecessary hype or piles of coloured brochures, but clear information was concisely given. Clare has been very quick to respond to any queries and requests from us, remaining professional and personable throughout. Our house sold quickly after 4 viewings on the first weekend live on their website. We would not hesitate to recommend Wilsons Real Estate.
