25th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)The director, Ken Lomas has limited knowledge of property transfer and was being rude to legal advisor. I sought clarification on entries of their account and he told me "Why don't you check the Lease!". If you are not entirely sure what is going on, please be humble and refer to the person who is specializing in this area. Their colleague, Ms Michelle Amato deserves a honor as she is helping out a lot throughout the transaction.
18th Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)Mr. Yasin and his son has absolutely no manners. Extremely rude behaviour. Their behaviour sounds like they own the country(Uk). Whoever deals with them don’t forget to keep evidence of each and every word that comes from them, because they keep changing their statements/word once you signed the contract. The most arrogant and rude people I’ve ever spoke with.

27th Apr 2024 (14 days ago)Not a great experience with this company. Placed in a property via my local authority. One company fronts for this company. From day one I reported issues to the initial company I was introduced to. I had a random visit from the owner of this company who found it amusing and failed to comprehend exposed scolding hot pipes, over 1.5m drops in the back garden with no rails, loose paving, an un lockable back door, holes in walls and floors plus many more hazards were an serious issue for an ASD child. He dismissed me and instructed me to get a quote to decorate the bathroom while skipping out of the house arrogantly. I have since come to find out he is not just the estate agent but also the owner. After months of failed repairs by unskilled random men I had to get Environmental Health to inspect. In addition to the faults I identified there were multiple hazards identified including Cat 1 health and safety issues. I have even found slugs in the house. After all this still no effort to repair. Have the audacity to call me sis when you met me but have me and my kids living like this? Absolutely disgraceful people. When I am moved the whole street will get a copy of the report so other families you happily take GBP’s for will know exactly what they are dealing with!

(16 reviews)22nd Aug 2023 (8 mo. ago)If I could give 0 star, I would. Absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, cheap & discriminative service that this agency provides. Home owners pay them to have a part of full service. The tenants will have to deal with their own reference checks etc. as the agency is washing their hands when it comes to doing anything that they are getting paid for. After being passed onto a referencing agency who couldn't do their job properly, (which I now believe happened in collaboration with the agent of DPR as they didn't want to give us the flat ) we've been asked to get in touch with a 3rd party agency to sort out the problem. Why would you use two 3rd parties to do your reference checks? Later on the agent made is seem like it was all our fault (that their agency couldn't reference us properly) and they ahed contacted the landlord and suggested him not to go ahead with us. In all honesty, you guys better make a call to Trading Standards as well - I reported them already.The more of us the better.

15th Nov 2023 (25 weeks ago)I usually don't write reviews, but Knights & Co definitely deserve it! I've rented a property with one of their agents back in August 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. Since the beginning, Hansa was super comprehensive with all my questions and concerns, from the tenancy agreement and length to a bed that broke afterwards and she managed to sort it on the same day. She promptly assisted me through the renting process, doing everything in her power to make my tenancy as pleasant as possible. If I had any sort of concern or problems with the property, I could literally just pick up the phone and give her a call no matter what day or time it was, and she would sort it out within minutes. Even when they're busy, they still give you the attention you need, and assist you in the best way they can. I am happy to say I was able have the experience to be a tenant with them, and I wish I could always be assisted by them as my Estate Agency. This is honestly the best estate agency I've ever dealt with in nearly 10 years of renting, and I couldn't recommend them more! Big thanks to Hansa and a solid 5 stars!
13th May 2021 (2 years ago)I am a landlord, John Samuel estate agent helping me to manage my flat in Cape Close Barking almost a year. They provide excellent service and efficient communication. They provide quarterly inspection, so I know my tenant is well look after my property. I would like to say special thanks to Brenden, he is a lovely gentleman. I will recommend them to landlords who want a trust worthy estate agent. I am planning to purchase another flat in Romford, and John Samuel is my first choice.

12th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)Are you guys like serious ? I was looking for something to rent and one lady was there willing to help talked with her nd been waiting since last 2-3 months. Recently changed my number tried contacting her and always there’s no answer but anyway that’s okay cause everyone will be occupied with work but then there’s one guy I don’t know his name but he was talking with on call and I was explaining him bout the case he was like” you can look for somewhere else” I said I’m okay to wait if there’s anything coming soon but he was so rude & his tone my godness how can someone speak with the client is such way. And when I said why you being rude to me he just hanged up call saying it’s better if I don’t talk with you ???? such a poor agent who don’t know how to communicate. God bless you!
21st Nov 2023 (25 weeks ago)I was a bit disappointed with the advertising. The property was placed on Zoopla, but not on Rightmove as promised. When I enquired, I was told that there were technical issues but will soon be resolved. This did not happen and it was not advertised on Rightmove during the whole period. Additionally, I felt as if I needed to make contact with the agent first before any thing was actioned. For example, receiving paperwork, amendments to photos amendments to add wording etc. I would consider using Aston Fox again as I did like Matthew and his overall approach, however I found the rest of the staff lacking the same enthusiasm and ethos.

5th Oct 2022 (1 year ago)We had a really bad experience with this estate agent, so beware. We had an offer accepted on a property, Jerome did the usual of taking our ID, proof of deposit, agreement in principle etc and confirmed acceptance. Three weeks later our solicitor raised our attention to the fact that the sellers solicitor had yet to issue draft contracts. After another week I finally got hold of Jerome who confirmed that the seller wouldn't issue the draft contract until we had a confirmed mortgage offer on the property. I told Jerome that wasn't the normal sequence we were familiar with, but he assured me that was how sales progressed in his experience. We went back to our solicitor who advised us that they would indeed normally wait for draft contracts to be issued before proceeding with searches and surveys etc. So we gave the sellers solicitor a deadline before we would reconsider the offer. On the day of the deadline the seller issued a race contract and advised us that there was another interested party who's offer had also been accepted and the seller would exchange with the party which secured a mortgage offer first. I don't know whether Jerome was aware that the seller had accepted multiple offers when we had our conversation, but my instinct at the time told me he wasn't being open and honest about the sellers intentions. So beware of this agent in case they try this with you.

They don't make you feel like you're a loser because you don't qualify for the property. They will call you back as soon as you ask for details. I hope I can get a property to rent from them soon.
