Cancelled an appointment as I was dealing with a stroke patient and I had a massive leak in my ceiling and he turned up anyway; tried forcing his way into my property when I told him he wasn’t coming in as I’d cancelled the appointment prior to his arrival. In the end blocked all of your moves numbers and never felt so happy *Edit - reply to lisa* Hi Lisa, Lee works at your move Walkden Branch - I had all of my information removed from Your move as there was a breach of GDPR and head office took my information off the system with immediate effect. I was being rung off numerous numbers by the man stated above out of office hours whilst I was heavily pregnant

4th Apr 2024 (25 days ago)This review is specifically for Christabel Hill, Property Relationship Manager at this branch. I deal with Christabel regularly as a tenant in long residence at one of the Thornley Properties. Dealing with admin relating to tenancy, which at the end of the day is a “home” is never an easy thing to do, it’s incredibly anxiety inducing and also daunting. Effectively Christabel is the go between of communication between myself and the landlord. I’m in a very personal situation of ill health at the moment, and Christabel has been nothing short of a diamond asset. In 20 years of dealing with letting agents, some are intrusive, rude and treat you as a commodity . Christabel is the first and leading lady who has been kind, personal and approachable, and I feel comfortable communicating with her all my personal circumstance and business. She’s efficient and quick moving. I would like this to wholeheartedly be recognised by management especially with my case individually. I’m willing for somebody to contact me should they require further endorsement of Christabel’s positive impact on my tenancy. I wish her all the best ongoing.

19th Apr 2024 (10 days ago)There's a lot of science and a lot of art to selling a home and Bolton Properties excelled in both for the marketing, which was never going to be straightforward, of my mother's flat. Joanne took the lead and gave me as my mother's Attorney sound advice which I had no hesitation in following ... and the Bolton Properties team then expertly brought about a top of the valuation-range sale.

19th Nov 2023 (23 weeks ago)I recently had the displeasure of having Phillip Ellis manage my two properties, I'm compelled to share my profoundly unsatisfactory experience. Having initially connected with a staff member at a networking event, the reality of working with this company fell far short of expectations. The litany of unprofessionalism began with the inexcusable allowance of early tenant access to one property, a blatant violation of the contract terms. In the other property, a shocking lack of property inspections persisted for an entire year, leaving my investment at the mercy of neglect. Critical paperwork was not only mishandled but also lost, contributing to a pervasive lack of communication from this company. Despite my persistent efforts to address these issues, there was no acknowledgment of fault or a hint of an apology. To say that Phillip Ellis fell short of their promises would be an understatement. The level of unprofessionalism exhibited throughout my dealings with them has been beyond poor. I cannot emphasise enough the sheer frustration and disappointment this company has caused. In conclusion, my encounter with Phillip Ellis stands out as one of the worst business experiences. Their complete lack of accountability, awful communication, and unfulfilled promises make them a company to avoid at all costs. Spare yourself the headache and explore alternative options for your property management needs
14th Nov 2021 (2 years ago)We were about 5 minutes late for a viewing because of the traffic when I managed to reach them on phone. I apologised and said we'd be there soon. They said the agent only waits 10 minutes, so they have to speak to him. After another 5 minutes they called me back and said the agent already left for another viewing. My wife was literally next to the house but as no-one was there,it was dark already and she didn't know which house it is without any lights. I told them it took us around 1.5 hours to get there with our 1yo baby and I don't think this is fair. We'd been still in the property even if we were on time. The agent finally came back and showed the house. He said he already changed his shoes as he was wearing a flip-flop because he went went home.

18th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
28th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)when you call to arrange a viewing, this estate agency has a tendency to say they are busy dealing with the vendor and they will call you back to arrange a viewing for you, and then you heard nothing, when you call back the other day, they said they have put you on the waiting list, and therefore you miss out the opportunity to view a property. this had happened to me twice, even their advertisement or video is just out and you call to arrange a viewing. when you explained to them about the situation, they will just say it's fully booked and ask you to xxxx off. next time when you hear they will call you back, do not trust that. arrange the viewing immediately or you will miss out the opportunity again.
