Dodgy dealers that leave you high and dry when they incorrectly listing an item. Avoid like the absolute plague. Had two or three good deals then two absolute rip offs, the last being something being advertised cas something ten times the value of the product it actually was. Items magically jump in price around the same time....hmm....intersting that. You only have to look at their reputation online to see what they're about. Can we introduce no stars Google??
Couldn't be happier with Bridgfords, the customer service has been amazing. Joanne has been excellent at everything, keeping me informed and taking care of any issues that pop up, so I don't need to worry about anything. I'd recommend them to anyone.
There is a reason Bridgfords has such an overwhelming amount of negative reviews and it stems from their property management and customer service teams. Warning to anyone who is thinking about renting a property through Bridgfords, please do not take the negative reviews lightly, or with a pinch of salt. My roommate and I read these reviews and raised our concerns with the agent who said that they had recently restructured their property management team. Taking his word we proceeded with our letting agreement.
We had concerns about paint chips, (looked tacky), many marks on the wall and numerous stains on the carpet, which we were told would be sorted by the time we moved in. They were not.
We were told that our property managers name was Ben and we were given his email. Never once did we hear from 'Ben' and when our kitchen sink broke, it took a month of us calling the office, leaving messages with no reply, emailing 'Ben' with no reply, before we finally had the kitchen sink fixed.
On ending the tenancy I called a month before our check out and asked what the check out procedure was. The man who answered was rude and condescending and said that we should have let them know we planned to leave. Since it was the end of our tenancy and not our job to run their administrative team, we should have been contacted. I cannot stress how rudely I was spoken to by this member of staff. He said he would sort it out and that I had nothing else to do.
Two weeks later I called again as I had heard nothing from the property manager. I then found out, our manger had changed to a guy named Adam, who every time I called was unavailable. I was told they had no record of us wanting to leave. I expressed that I was annoyed because the person I spoke to said I didn't have to do anything else.
When they say that they will get back to you after 10days of leaving to sort out the deposit, they mean they will get back to you within 20 and after having sent numerous emails that went unanswered, and will make every excuse under the sun as to why they can't release it to you.
It's a shame because our apartment was our home, and we loved it, but I cannot believe the unprofessional and disrespectful way that this company treats their customers.
Great viewing, I think they're one of the only Agents that still give you a good Brochure with all the information you need. The team in sales made sure there was no radio silence throughout the sale and kept me up to date. If I eventually sell my new apartment, it'll be with Philip James!
This is the 3rd house I have let. Never previously have I had such problems with a Letting agency... They are great when you look around houses but once you've committed Philip James are aweful.they are slow to respond to enquiries. The company seems very disorganized and treat students without any respect even though we pay just as much as anyone else. I would avoid at all costs! I will never use them again.
We had some great help from Antony today after nearly losing the contract on a house just over a week before move in date. After hearing some bad news off the landlord we went into the Fallowfield office and explained our situation to Antony who called the landlord himself despite not being the person in charge of our case, and managed to secure our contract. Thank you so much for saving us a load of stress, we really appreciate it!
Terrible agents to work with, difficult to get hold of without going to the shop in person, slow to answer to any correspondence and to fix issues in the house. Prospective tenants should definitely avoid.
I had the pleasure of mentoring Amy from Quay Property Estate and Letting Agents through a housing industry training programme and was delighted how she embraced all of the requirements of the course in a professional manner and as such would have no hesitation in recommending her to deal with any aspect of property management.
After seeing good reviews I decided to use Quay Property to view a flat for purchase. We had arranged to view a property and arrived at the property at the time specified. After 15 mins or so I rang Quay to ask where the agent (H) was. They couldn't give me they number, and told me they were out of the office and probably on the way. I was advised they would ring and check for me and call back. After half an hour waiting i rang again and people were similarly unhelpful. They couldnt give me any information as to where the agent was or any contact details. I decided to leave since we'd been stood in the cold and wasted two hours of the day to get there and back. Really very disappointed: has completely put me off enquiring for any further viewings with Quay Property and I will view a similar flat in the same location with a different agent.
I have been a tenant of Leaders for six years and I cannot rate the current staff highly enough. A couple of years ago they clearly went through some dramatic staff changes and there were one or two problems, but they have now got people in the office that really seem bothered about their tenants and actually care. I would therefore not hesitate to recommend Leaders now to anyone.
This landlord should be avoided at all costs. They fob you off repeatedly when you ask for anything to be fixed (which is very frequently as the property was so ill kept).
The property was so unclean on arrival that it required 6 hours of professional cleaning before it was even liveable.
When it comes to reclaiming your deposit they will be purposefully evasive & do their best to take every penny.
Please do yourself a favour and do not rent with this agency.
