In hindsight, we wish we had sold our property with Richard Kendall, but we had already signed a contract with a different one. We are now living in our dream home, and I have to keep pinching myself!

2nd Sep 2024 (14 days ago)I don’t know where to begin with how horrific the service has been. It has been nothing but stress. AVOID THIS ESTATE AGENTS AT ALL COSTS! - Couldn’t even list the property details correct (basics such as number of bedrooms, street name). When I complained about this, the response was that it wasn’t the girls problem and to complain to someone else? - Getting a response to emails is impossible. When I complained I was told it was due to annual leave (pathetic excuse - annual leave for 6 weeks with no out of office email put on? More like laziness and incompetence). - They don’t tell you at the time of listing your property you are tied with them for 20 weeks. I formally complained regarding the contract Ts and Cs not being met with a request to leave our contract early and head office didn’t want to know! Nothing improved whatsoever. - Finally coming to the end of my 20 week contract and I gave my ‘28 days notice’ to remove from rightmove and they did it immediately. Opposed to waiting 28 days, what’s the point in this policy if I ask you to leave my property on for 28 days and you ignore me and do it instantly? - when I rang up to request to withdraw my property the young girl on the phone was rude. She wasn’t listening to a word I said so I rang again to ask her to send me something in writing to provide more assurance. She didn’t listen to my house number, told me my house had sold STC (obviously wrong), didn’t bother saying goodbye and hung up. Shocking customer service. In response to your other 1* reviews, you reply saying if we want to discuss further to contact you. What’s the point? I’ve done it plenty of times and your service remains diabolical. I don’t want to publicly name and shame but private complaints don’t work. If you want to sell your house in Barnsley, use anyone but these guys.

We recently secured a property through Your Move in Mapplewell, and I must say that Rachel and Louise from the letting team have been nothing short of exceptional. Their willingness to assist was evident in every interaction, with no phone call ever being too much trouble. They were always ready to listen, offer guidance, and support us throughout the process. Relocating from Doncaster to Barnsley, with the added challenge of being over 45 minutes away, made the search for a new home quite stressful. 8th Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)I contacted this branch to give me a valuation of a property I own. I had a good honest chat about what I wanted with David jones the valuation manager who said he would get back to me within a couple of days. I heard nothing so after 5 days a contacted them again but conveniently David was out of the office so I asked again if he could contact me. What a surprise he couldn’t be bothered to return my call. Avoid using this branch at Wakefield because they will let you down. Very very poor.

26th Jul 2024 (7 weeks ago)This is probably the worst letting agent in yorkshire. Indecent people. Avoid them at all cost. If you're looking for a room to rent try spareroom.co.uk. Nobody wants to work at the office in Barnsley for them. They change employees often. Don't waste time on clowns. I have been waken up multiple times during last few years by them and they don't respect that I work on night shift despite asking them not to do it. Even monkey can follow simple instructions. I tell everybody I can to avoid them.

5th Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!

The initial meeting and valuation of the property was conducted professionally and with a relaxed but reassuring manner that a sale would be achieved at the expected valuation. The property was placed on the market within 24 hours and they arranged and conducted the viewings on our behalf. The communication with regard to the viewings and feedback was excellent. We would highly recommend Home & Manor
