We had valuations from three other agents who seriously undervalued the house (between £150,000-£75,000 less than it went for!). We are so glad we went with Hanptons and sold quickly at a price we were happy with.

16th Jul 2019 (4 years ago)They informed us about a change in our move-in date less than 12 hours before the original date of the move. The new date was pushed by two weeks. Therefore, as we had already switched all utilities to the new apartment, we had to survive without utilities in the old apartment for two weeks. Moreover, the estate agent we were in contact with was behaving in a very unprofessional and disrespectful way on the phone as we called him to explain the issues. He was shouting at us on the phone and blamed the situation on us, the clients. Furthermore, the agent did not inform us about other issues we faced regarding the move and when asked about it, he claimed to have been in contact with us regarding the problems, which was not true.

24th Jul 2018 (5 years ago)This was a difficult sale but they managed the process in a very professional way from start to finish. When an offer was received they made sure it was followed through to completion. Highly highly recommend
25th Sep 2019 (4 years ago)This estate agent was worse than useless, very rude and slow. Messed me about with the house I was supposed to buy and move into and was I chargeed £2,500 before they could take the property off the market. Then the sitting tenant refused to move out and it took over 6 months get our money back and only achieved this by report ing them to the Property Ombudman. Lost close to £ 3,000 in findin g an alternative property to buy and had to take them to court. Now they have movrd from their Orsett road premises after they got expelled from the property ombufsman membership and are nowhere to be found... BeEWARE AND DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL

14th Apr 2024 (22 days ago)We paid 6 months in advance - at a premium price - for a luxury apartment. Upon arrival, we found severe water damage and mould in the apartment - as confirmed by third-party mould inspector. Evidence suggests they knew about the water damage months ago and neglected to fix it or tell us about it before we signed the lease. We never moved in - and were left scrambling to find something else (we live abroad and were coming for 6 months). They fixed the leak but refuse to adequately remove the mould, and don’t want to return our rent… even though mold inspection report says the place is hazardous to health! So now we’ve had to hire a lawyer and will likely have to take them to court. It’s a nightmare. The agents are negligent at best and deceptive at worst.
19th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)You cannot get hold of anyone here - I've left voicemail messages, sent emails and used the contact us option on their website but to no avail. That was for both sales and purchase and it does not fill you with any confidence. I can only take it that this is a one man(person) band setup.
