2nd Sep 2026 (23 days ago)I contacted Acorn after my three-bedroom flat in Telegraph Hill had been on the market with another agent for over a year without selling. Within hours, Nellie had arranged a valuation. The team even spotted and resolved a boiler problem that was causing an alarm to sound—something the previous agent had never flagged.<br><br>Nellie clearly explained how Acorn would market the flat and present it to prospective buyers. Their knowledge of the area and straightforward approach gave me confidence, and after comparing three local agents, I chose Acorn.<br><br>Within two weeks, they had secured three qualified offers, all within the agreed price range and one at the asking price. Nellie talked me carefully through each offer and helped me make an informed decision.<br><br>The legal process was slow, but Nellie and Hannah did a fantastic job of keeping it moving, chasing when necessary and helping to unblock issues whenever things threatened to stall. Their communication throughout was excellent: proactive, clear and focused on getting the sale through to exchange.<br><br>After my experience with the previous agent, I cannot recommend Nellie, Hannah and the team at Acorn Brockley highly enough. They have been absolutely brilliant!
2nd Sep 2026 (23 days ago)I can’t recommend Phil Cantwell at Your Move in New Cross highly enough. He was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process — competent, responsive, proactive, kind, and professional.<br><br>The sale turned out to be much more complicated than expected, with legal difficulties meaning that the process took over two years to complete. Throughout that entire time, Phil stayed in touch, kept me updated and did everything he could to keep things moving along. Even though I was dealing with everything internationally, his communication was excellent and I always felt that things were being looked after. He made what could have been an extremely stressful experience feel remarkably stress-free. I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without him.<br><br>Phil also went far beyond what I would normally expect from an estate agent. He was incredibly helpful with all sorts of practical things that I would normally have dealt with myself if I had been in London — from replacing batteries in smoke detectors to meeting contractors and helping coordinate things on my behalf.<br><br>He was an absolute delight to deal with: warm, friendly, dependable, and always willing to go the extra mile. I’m incredibly grateful for all his help and would wholeheartedly recommend Phil to anyone looking for an estate agent.
9th Sep 2026 (16 days ago)Avoid them, rude and unethical practices<br><br>Avoid renting here at all costs. Our move-out and tenancy experience with this agency, and specifically our property manager Christina, was defined by rude correspondence, intimidation tactics, and highly unethical financial practices.<br><br>Despite paying our rent in full, they attempted to double-charge us over at checkout. Worse, they tried to unlawfully retain a huge portion of our deposit using completely fabricated charges. They billed us a huge "redecoration fee" for standard wear-and-tear and attempted to charge us for pre-existing issues—including carpet stains, curtains and sink scratches—that were all clearly documented on our move-in inventory. Christina even deliberately went back on verbal agreements she made on-site regarding these charges on painting. She even tried to blame us for pre-existing moth infestation on carpets and other issues during our stay which was documented on our checkin report.<br><br>Fortunately, we kept meticulous records and took them to the official Tenancy Deposit Scheme dispute service, where we won our dispute and forced the return of a major portion of our deposit. They prey on tenants who don't know their rights. Protect your money and peace of mind, and rent elsewhere.

Very pleased with the friendly and efficient service, especially Conor and Sarah, from arranging viewing all the way through to key collection. A fantastic independent team that will get you sorted promptly and with great vibes, highly recommend if you’re looking to rent in SE :)

We quickly settled on JDM and so glad we did because the whole team were brilliant. We always felt kept in the loop and their honest advice and feedback was much appreciated. Highly competitive fee structure and much fairer than I saw with other companies. I’m buying my property with Hunters, and due to an asset management company being involved, it was so difficult to get the information from them! The seller’s solicitor and the asset company were SO difficult to contact, especially since the seller’s solicitor didn’t reply to my solicitor's request for information and didn’t even answer my questions. My completion date should be in early August, but I’ve just got it done recently in September. However, I felt so helpless in this situation, but I was also so glad, because of Bradley!!! He helped me a lot! I would say I can't even get the key in September without him! He's so patient, helpful and working hard!!! He essentially chased the seller’s solicitor and the asset management company nearly every single day, and had me copied, keeping me up to date. He helped me with my multiple housing viewings, and answered my questions about the property on time, even when he was on holiday or had a day off!!! When I felt helpless, he encouraged me and actually did things to make the asset company and the seller’s solicitor reply to me more quickly. He basically followed things up every single day, which I was so much appreciated!!! The world really needs people like him!! The best estate agent I've ever seen!!!

Tried taking so much of our deposit, went to an adjudication and the adjudicator stated what i offered is more than reasonable and they were completely out of line trying to steal our hard working money. Make sure you always look at the evidence and take it to the TDS adjudication. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Complete liars. I’ve rented for almost 8 years in London and never faced problems, only with Kallars.

The seller's agent is doing their job, but their job isn't protecting you — so going in, I expected to be navigating most of it alone.<br><br>That changed the moment I started working with Hannah Le Sueur. From our very first conversation, it was clear she was in my corner. She took real time to understand what I was looking for, and rather than just throwing listings at me, she fine tuned her sense of it with each conversation — narrowing in as we both got a clearer picture of what would actually work for me.<br><br>That process led us to a flat that turned out to be exactly the kind of character and space I didn't know I was looking for. Hannah then helped me negotiate a deal I honestly didn't think was possible, pushing for terms I wouldn't have had the confidence or market knowledge to ask for myself.<br><br>Compared to every other property experience I've had, Hannah Le Sueur made this one feel completely different — supported, informed, and genuinely on my side from start to finish.
