They are clear from the outset regarding their fees, processes & also managing expectations throughout. They are great with keeping up regular communication & are just generally nice people to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend Cockburn.
9th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)As a first-time buyer, I recently completed on a house purchase that took around five months, and overall I found Onkar and Simon reassuring and helpful throughout the process.<br><br>My job often means I’m unable to answer calls immediately, but I never had any issue returning calls when I was able to, or communicating via email. Calls were generally the quicker option, but it was reassuring to have email as an alternative when needed.<br><br>There were quite a few issues during the purchase that were clearly outside the estate agent’s control, and these understandably created some confusion along the way. Despite this, I found both Onkar and Simon to be fairly reassuring throughout. One particular example was when a chain unexpectedly appeared where there hadn't been one previously. Onkar, despite having only just returned from leave, went out of his way to try to establish what had happened and why.<br><br>As this was my first purchase, having people who were willing to help clarify things and provide some reassurance was particularly appreciated. I can’t really comment on their service from a seller’s perspective, as my interaction with them was naturally limited to the buying side, but based on my experience, I can’t fault them too much and would be happy to recommend them.
18th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)This is a personal review on a fantastic member of staff who has been looking after our home for almost a year.<br>Our estate agent Agit, has gone above and beyond for us on numerous occasions. We have never had an estate agent, previously as a tenant or as a landlord now, that has been so organised, proactive and helpful! Every email is responded to punctually and he’s just on it, always. We couldn’t be happier with the service he is providing us. So this is a ?????????? review on him personally, as we are so incredibly thankful and feel extremely well looked after.<br>I didn’t know how else to give you recognition other than to post on here… but I hope this gets you internal recognition within Acorn, as you are a huge credit to the company.<br>Thanks again Agit!

Communication from start to finish was first class and combined with the helpful advice throughout it couldn't have gone better. 16th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)Sydney is a complete liar and incompetent. We made an offer and they tried to discourage us, to make us look elsewhere. After stalling and wasting our time for a while, they told us our offer was rejected without any official proof. They are completely unprofessional.

They are incredibly attentive, and made you feel as a customer that they can be relied upon to provide a first class class service at all times. Their fees are very competitive, and with the benefit of hindsight, I made the best possible choice to manage selling and also buying of the properties concerned.<br><br>Top draw stuff ??????????????

Highly competitive fee structure and much fairer than I saw with other companies. My sale was quite complex, with delays and hold ups in the chain that were outside our control, but the team went above and beyond to keep things moving. They handled everything with professionalism, urgency and a personal touch that I really appreciated.<br><br>Communication was excellent. Whenever I had a question, someone was there to answer, and I always felt confident they were working hard behind the scenes. They were approachable, trustworthy and easy to work with throughout.<br><br>A special thank you to John for his patience with my frequent requests for answers and updates, and to Terrence for his work behind the scenes, pushing the sale forward and showing a real urgency to get things done. Thank you also to Jamie for making me feel welcome from the outset and giving me confidence that I’d chosen the right estate agents.<br><br>I really appreciate everyone’s efforts in getting the sale over the line. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

The video by Corinne was amazing and the property was live and on the market within hours. It sold on the first viewing for above the marketed value. Although completion took longer than anticipated Paul & Dawn kept us updated throughout the process. I cannot recommend Local Agent enough. Denise and Ken

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier. He was highly organised, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly carried out thorough research before offering advice - everything was backed by insight, rather than guesswork.<br><br>His communication was excellent throughout the entire process: responsive, transparent, and professional.
