24th Feb 2023 (2 years ago)This agent requires sixteen weeks.There wasn't communication after the contract was signed. The property was on the market, but it was the twelfth week before anyone enquired. Could not locate agents window on the high street. They do not use professional photographers, which was definitely a mistake. The agent works alternate Saturdays, but never informed me beforehand, and suggested I didn't tell him I would be away. Unsure of the question as he did agree to conducting the viewings. One viewer was due to come on a Saturday, but never showed. It's possible she tried to contact,but got no reply. It's the same response I got when I rang twice on that Saturday. He got the keys along with instructions to the alarm, but still managed to set it off. He does not come over too well, and can't say it's the right career choice.

They were professional throughout and helped me enormously to make my move easy and with confidence as this was my first ever move. Also helped me with advice throughout and recommended a first class Solicitors, who were brilliant also. All the team were friendly but a special thank you to Molly and Dean 2 really lovely and professional people. Thank you.

27th May 2025 (17 days ago)STAY WELL CLEAR! Gave a 1 star as I couldn’t give zero. When staff eventually answered the phone they were rude and patronising. 3 months wasted with Dixons. You lot could learn alot from Skitts!

The photos of my house looked amazing. The whole process was stress free. Great professional service, would highly recommend.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
28th May 2025 (16 days ago)Belvoir were great at keeping me up to date on how things were moving forward. Staff always polite, professional, always coming back if asked a question. I notice that blue card staff have discounts, I am ex military and have a veterans card, it would be nice for us to have recognition along with blue card members.

Deposit should be returned within 3 business days as it took them a minute to take it out of my account, they have been ignoring my texts and calls

4th Jun 2025 (9 days ago)I am absolutely disgusted with Bettermove!! They offered to buy my house for a fixed price, having deducted 20%! Which is what I told them I wanted a 'quick' sale. They offered of 2 options. Or, they said they could market it for a month AND actually LIED and stated they HAD investors INTERESTED in MY property!! Within a week I realised they had NO investors!! So, when the 'month' was up I asked if they would buy the house for the price they had stated instead. They said they would take a FURTHER 20% off AGAIN!!! Had they told me this would happen in the first place I would've just sold it to them!!! AND, in the process, they have DEVALUED the market value of my house!!! I think its absolutely disgusting that they seem to act without any conscience. They lie and are not up front with what the options really are. They have set my house selling back by possibly years now!! If there were an Ombundsman or official way to report them I would do so!
4th Jun 2025 (9 days ago)The adverts you get is promising. 10-16% return. It is very attractive. As a business one should know it is too good to be true. The model is they convert auctioned property bought at a very cheap price tag, convert it to a exempt accomodation by changing the structure and add rooms. It would be leased to a social housing company on long term. The property will be sold to you on an inflated price tag by atleast a 100k with a promise of high return. Ofcourse one year later the social housing company introduced by the OPA goes in to administration for not paying their rent. OPA would say not their fault. They have asked a hefty fees for the whole transaction and you do not meet these social housing providers or you don't get multiple options. Also when the social housing provider went to administration there was no help offered. So 100k down the drain and still don't have possession of our own property, I am writing this feedback to warn anyone who is looking to purchase via them. Hope it is helpful.
