24th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)This agent requires sixteen weeks.There wasn't communication after the contract was signed. The property was on the market, but it was the twelfth week before anyone enquired. Could not locate agents window on the high street. They do not use professional photographers, which was definitely a mistake. The agent works alternate Saturdays, but never informed me beforehand, and suggested I didn't tell him I would be away. Unsure of the question as he did agree to conducting the viewings. One viewer was due to come on a Saturday, but never showed. It's possible she tried to contact,but got no reply. It's the same response I got when I rang twice on that Saturday. He got the keys along with instructions to the alarm, but still managed to set it off. He does not come over too well, and can't say it's the right career choice.

6th Jun 2026 (12 days ago)I recently purchased a house through Paul Carr Estate Agents and had a very positive experience throughout the process. The staff were extremely helpful, professional, and proactive. In particular, Cian Jeynes was outstanding. He worked closely with both my solicitor and mortgage broker, ensuring that communication was smooth and that the transaction progressed efficiently. His support and regular updates made the whole process much less stressful. I would happily use Paul Carr Estate Agents again in the future and would highly recommend them to friends and relatives.

8th May 2024 (2 years ago)Agent turned up one and a half hours late for property inspection, no phone call to inform me. When I called their office a women said she has asked the women coming to visit to call me but she didn't bother. When I challenged her she said she had not been asked to call me to say she was going to be late only when she has finished her inspection (who's telling the truth) RED FLAG. She also whined on about being in a meeting and that she had only been working there for a week or so NOT MY PROBLEM not interested in time wasters. I needed to contact my landlord to inform him of the poor service he is paying for and in then contacted PP. A long story short when the evidence was put to Simon Bacon the manager he had no choice but to apologise to my landlord but no apology to me for wasting my time. Always going to apologise to the landlord because he's paying him. VERY POOR appears there is no proper in house or external communication. Glad I'm only going to here for a short period of time.

3rd Jun 2026 (15 days ago)Filled in every piece of personal information to a unknown company for nothing. Link to bank accounts, HMRC, submitted all personal & work information to get an email saying Landlord has chosen some else. It was only viewed 24 hours ago, so no way the information was reviewed & no way of retracting it. Total waste of time & to have to give access to bank accounts & HMRC records for nothing. Totally unacceptable to ask for it & then not use that level of information.

1st Mar 2024 (2 years ago)Just finished our tenancy agreement after 2 years 3 months. The whole Preferential team have been fantastic but specially Emma K since I dealt with her from day one till the end of the tenancy, she is brilliant. to be fair they always fixed any fault in the property pretty quickly so thanks to Victoria for this. I did not deal much with the director Simon but he did some adjustments to my contract to be able to give the month notice from the day I exchanged contracts of the property I purchased so thanks for this. From our side we have kept the property always clean and taken care of it as if it was ours. I recommend Preferential.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

7th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I Honestly could not recommend Belvoir enough. It was 3 days from the initial visit with Nathan, listing going live, 3 viewings booked then agreed sale. We did have an issue with a tyre kicker buyer but Belvoir alleviated our frustration and sold our property again almost immediately. Considering how general customer service seems to be going down the pan, hats off to Harvey, Katie, Liam, Chloe and the rest of the team for making the grey hair inducing experience of moving house easier!

6th Jun 2026 (12 days ago)We have just completed the house sale of our mother’s house. This was a stressful time for us but everything ran smoothly with Andrew Downing Booth estate agents. They had been recommended by a neighbour and came top of our list after visits from other estate agents. The house sold in January within a week of going up for sale and we exceeded the asking price. Photography, videos and all the advertising were very impressive. Communication was very efficient and we had every confidence in each person we worked with. They even created a WhatsApp group for us as none of the family lived locally. In particular Karen Tew became our rock and guided us through the process. She was incredibly supportive and she proved a very useful link between us, solicitors and the buyers, cutting through bureaucracy to get quick answers. At our request Andrew recommended a solicitor who also proved exceptionally good. We have no hesitation to recommend this estate agent in Aldridge.
