27th Sep 2019 (7 years ago)Unprofessional, dishonest, complete luck of understanding of personal circumstances. Ryan was showing me the property and he was very nice and professional, however foe a week I was told that I would get the answer to my offer today. In stead of saying that they have lined up someone for a property Niamh has lied about not being able to get in touch with a landlady for over 10 days and suddenly when new people made an offer she was asking what my offer was and managed to get hold of the landlady (apparently she was trying every day, but how could she if apparently she didn't know what my offer was?!). I was lucky enough to find actually a better property with an estate agency who is in completely different league (premier) and Proctor (in Chatterton Village) doesn't belong to any.

11th Dec 2025 (10 mo. ago)I cannot speak highly enough of the Team at Browne Estates, particularly Ian and Jo. They recently sold my flat in Bromley. Communication was really good, I was kept up to date on the progress and they went above and beyond in regards to assisting with issues, questions and communication between myself and the buyer. My solicitor was dragging their heals so really appreciate everything they did to get the sale over the line.

They restored our faith after we'd had a poor experience with another estate agent. Working with John Alan, we got clear-eyed valuation, proactive updates, suggested solutions, and all with a friendly and reliable service. We are beyond grateful to John and Dee for their commitment to our sale and highly recommend them, they are a cut above all other local estate agents. If you are selling in South East London John Alan should be your first choice.

16th May 2026 (24 weeks ago)Not surprised to see some poor reviews here. I used Oakwood (Mottingham) before Covid for property management when moving abroad. They did not lodge the tenants deposit with DPS, and sent me a fake certificate when I asked for evidence. Daniel told me a temp worker had pocketed the deposit when he was on holiday and that she had produced the certificate (rubbish). He also did not follow due process when the tenants moved into the property which meant I had little chance for legal recourse should the tenants fall behind in rent. Oakwoods also did not provide me with a proper property management contract between them and myself, playing dumb when I asked for one. Unfortunately, this was my first time renting out a property and it was a learning experience. Agree with another reviewer that they only seemed to care about the sales side of the business.- This agent doesn't have any reviews

The fake reviews use the same expressions to describe Letzone and are a complete fabrication. I’d recommend they remove these posts also and not to mislead people any further.

The focus on the presentation helped get people in the door and I believe heled them see themselves in the flat. He was helpful through the offer process when I was keen to take the first one. I’m glad I didn’t.

Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.

As first-time buyers, we had a lot of questions and uncertainties, but Alistair guided us through the entire process with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. These 2 have bought & sold & managed properties for me over the years & the level of service has been outstanding ??????.
