The current sales team worked pretty well and effectively. Paul and Lily were good at keeping in touch and keeping us informed and the result, whilst not being all that we might have wished was acceptable. The original asking price was clearly way too high and I think we were badly advised at the beginning. The process of producing sales materials was very slow. That meant that the property was publicised some weeks after we had been led to expect. In a situation where prices are falling that delay proved costly.
Steve was proactive, professional and efficient throughout the whole process of our moving home.
I was extremely impressed by how he used his initiative to make and maintain regular contact with solicitors/agents/landlords at all points of the chain to ensure that any unforeseen problems were quickly dealt with.
It was reassuring to have his mostly daily feedback on progress which took the pressure off us and instilled confidence.
Matthew gave invaluable initial advice and it was clear the teamwork between Alan and Steve helped things run smoothly if either was away from the office.
Steve's skills and actions enabled us to complete on both our sale and purchase within 15 weeks - and this was with Christmas in between!

Lacklustre marketing, our listing kept disappearing off their website and Rightmove; serious lack of communication from our designated agent, we had to constantly chase him.

I wish we applied for the mortgage ourselves instead of using YourMove Swanley mortgage broker. It costed us loads in fees and Stephen made mistakes in our application.

Had bairstow round to our property for a valuation recently. The valuation was a fair one and around what we considered it to be worth. They were also flexible on their fee which impressed us because it mean they understood whilst running a business its also important for the seller to save pennies where possible. They seemed to value us as an individual and not just as another house to sell for commission. There was no hard sell approach. No begging. No after valuation call ups to push instruction. No stupid leaflets full of under valued houses sold like Howard and cundey presented to us. Just a thoughtful lady called Karen who tried to help us out. We decided to go with purple bricks purely to try and save money. However these would have been my high street choice. Thank you bairstow. I hope I won't regret my decision!

The company was punctual and reliable, attending all the viewings and giving prompt feedback about prospective buyers and their situations. The most valuable part was maybe vetting the finances of the buyers.
