My father called this place looking for book a house viewing and was victim to racial profiling. When a customer come to look at a house, questions such as 'can you afford this house' come across as rude and disrespectful. Questions such as, is the houses you're looking for within this price range or where are you currently living could be used to tailor the house hunting experience I understand, but can you afford this house?! Ridiculous. My father is a GP and pays his taxes, so to be ask such a question I think is highly unprofessional. If it weren't for the busy schedule around during this time of the year I'm sure he would have been more inclined to make a complaint. I however am disappointed, especially living in Chislehurst for over 15 years now. Susan should be more respectful in the future.... Read more

I am highly impressed with the service provided by Capital Estate Agents, not least for the fact that the head of the firm, Mr Tancred, not only was involved right from the start of the sale, but directed the sale himself. That pleased me enormously. In comparison with the three estate agents we used before we turned to Capital, this firm is streets ahead of the competition. While all the others could do was overprice the house (in order to get the business) & then keep reducing the price, Capital gave an honest & realistic valuation, & stuck to it. As a result of intelligent & catchy marketing by Mr Tancred, we got the asking price within 3 weeks, (after two years of dithering & half-hearted salemanship from elsewhere.) Mr Tancred & his associate Mr Montgomery are both straight-talking & courteous, & it has been a pleasure doing business with them. If it ever comes to selling a house in the area again, I will definitely go to Capital. That goes for buying, too. In my opinion, there is nothing more important than trust when doing business, & I can honestly say that I trust Capital to do what they say they will do.... Read more

We viewed a rental property and put in an offer and was assured by the lettings team that everything would be ok for go ahead. After that we heard nothing for 5 days ! Ignoring calls and emails. It’s just unprofessional and rude. And then was met with a poor excuse about not getting the property. Wasted my time completely and was really frustrating as we loved the property. The lettings manager just blatantly ignored and avoided us for whatever reason and kept being told he would email and call to let me know and never did. Not given me much faith in this estate agents sadly.... Read more

I absolutely cannot recommend Peter, Maria & the rest of the Chislehurst team enough - they were superb! From valuing our property right through to the day of completion Peter was there - always contactable, & extremely helpful - walking us through each part of the process. He went over & above by also helping our buyers when their agents had let them down. He liaised with our solicitor & the solicitor of our buyers when necessary as well. Excellent service from Peter, Deana and the whole team at ADM in Chislehurst. Whilst both selling and buying property is always stressful, and compromises are inevitable, they were able to secure a purchaser for our property in good time enabling us to move onto our next house, and we were kept regularly updated. Special thanks to Jon Stuart (Capital Private Finance) who made the mortgage application process very easy and was able to secure us the funds needed very promptly, this enabled us to proceed with confidence knowing finance was in place. Raste has been an incredibly conscientious individual; myself and my partner could not have asked for anything more out of our rental experience. Unaccaptable service. I had a viewing for renting a flat. They cancelled it 15 minutes before. They said they don't have keys... 'Would you like to reschedule?' As I couldn't go, my friends were already on their way. My friends tried to call them straight away with no luck. Then after half an hour they picked up the phone. Rescheduled for next day. AGAIN, an hour before viewing, they cancelled it without giving a reason. They TEXTED ME!!! Instead of calling my friends!!! They had an arrangement with them not with me!! Since then no news from them... AVOID THIS AGENCY. There are plenty other ones around!!!... Read more

Under no circumstances sell your business with Hilton Smythe. We made the unfortunate decision to sign a six month contract with them back in February this year to sell our shop. A valuer visited us and told us that if we paid so much upfront, they'd be no more fee's to pay and if the shop wasn't sold within six months we could simply pull it off the market or go with someone else. It was originally marketed and valued at £50,000. Initially we had a lot of interest and a sale looked likely. Then lockdown happened three weeks into the shop being advertised and all went quiet until late July, early August. Barely anything from Hilton Smythe. This we had expected due to the circumstances. In the meantime, the shop has been open and trading extremely well. Then come early August, we start being messed around by the agent. Suddenly and without any warning another agent has taken over and is arranging viewings with people who are not properly vetted. We're let down at the last minute by people who don't show up. We then reduce the price of our business in an effort to sell quicker, even then the agents kept calling with offer's well below the new asking price and when we turned them all down, we were made to feel like we're the ones being unreasonable and as though we should just accept any offer. Low and behold, we have decided to take our business off the market. Our contract ran out on August 2nd, therefore we are now out of contract. But... Hilton Smythe have stated that we have to give them six weeks notice for them to take our business off the market and in this time, we must accept viewings else we are liable for a fee of almost £3,000! We only received an actual copy of our contract, the day we gave Hilton Smythe our notice, which was two days ago. Yesterday, emails were flying back and forth between Myself and the agency over yet another no show. Hilton Smythe have become bullies and will stoop to any depths. They're not on the sellers side, the very people paying them and they will send anyone, unvetted, to waste your time on the promise of a sale. No matter how hard you try to get out of it, they will use 'the contract' against you. Do expect a level of stress that will drive you to the brink of a nervous breakdown and if you have a decent business, expect it to be adversely affected by bogus buyers phoning them and then you being forced into showing such people around! I urge anyone thinking of selling a business, go elsewhere. I wish I had seen some of these reviews back in February.... Read more
