Their support, professionalism, and responsiveness were greatly appreciated and made the process much easier.<br><br>At the same time, I would like to suggest further improvements to the maintenance operations. Going forward with the house sale, Robert couldn't have been better, keeping me updated throughout the whole process, it was outstanding service and second to none. Communication throughout the process was excellent and once we accepted the offer on our house the legal team at Thorntons were equally exceptional. Our solicitor was always on hand to answer our questions and provide us with best advice. Thank you for taking the stress out of selling a house!

Having always lived in England, we were daunted by the thought of a very different property market in Scotland but we were helped on every step of the way. Claire C was our initial contact and was so patient and supportive, explaining the system and nothing was too much trouble. Once we found a property to buy, Claire S was our solicitor. Again, she was patient, understanding and so helpful as well as being efficient, timely and diligent with all the legal work. She kept us well informed and involved at every step. We also had a lot of help and support from Suzie and Sheila, plus other members of the team. We are very grateful to them all and highly recommend Neilsons.

A special mention goes to Rhonda Gunn, my Property Sales Negotiator, who was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. 15th Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Overestimated price at quote stage and advised a lower one as soon as home report valuation was received, suggesting upset price 10k below valuation. Little feedback on website viewing figures unless I phoned to request it. Support for property viewings and feedback from viewers was reasonable. Once an offer was received, I had to email and phone Thornton's legal team repeatedly to chase progress. Title deeds were already held by Thornton's, but it took two weeks to scan and email them to the solicitor, delaying written acceptance of the offer beyond the deadline given by the buyer. Solicitor handling my case seemed to think this was normal and deadlines for acceptance of offers were usually ignored. Sale is not yet complete, but I would avoid using the same company for estate agency and legal services in future. It seems to encourage complacency and inefficiency, the opposite of what I expected.
