Anne communicated clearly, responded promptly to our concerns and worked hard secure a mortgage offer that suited our circumstances. Her support made a challenging process much easier, and I am very pleased to recommend her services.

Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout, and made a potentially stressful process surprisingly easy. All costs were clearly set out upfront, and every effort was made to progress the sale to conclusion as quickly as possible, The team kept me fully informed at all times, and the information and advice provided was timely and reliable. I can strongly recommend using this particular estate agent.
29th Jun 2026 (11 weeks ago)I contacted David Hill to enquire about a quotation for a survey and to understand what his service included. Throughout our correspondence, I repeatedly asked a straightforward question about the cost of the survey. Rather than receiving a clear quotation, I was sent several very long emails that were difficult to follow and often did not answer my question directly.<br><br>Much of the correspondence focused on qualifications, court experience and a copy of his CV, rather than providing a direct answer to my request for a quotation.<br><br>As a prospective client, I made it clear that there was no urgency and that he could take whatever time he needed to prepare a quote. I also provided the information requested about the property. Despite this, the conversation became increasingly confrontational.<br><br>I was particularly disappointed by comments such as telling me to "educate yourself", suggesting that I was wasting his time, and eventually asking me never to contact him again. I found this surprising and unprofessional, especially as I was simply carrying out due diligence before committing to a significant purchase.<br><br>I cannot comment on the quality of his surveying work because I did not instruct him. However, based on my experience, I found the communication to be dismissive, unnecessarily confrontational, and lacking the professionalism I would expect when making an initial enquiry.
19th Aug 2026 (29 days ago)I couldn’t recommend Redwoods highly enough after they sold my property in Halifax. From start to finish the whole experience was outstanding. Their communication was excellent they kept me fully in the loop with regular updates and took the time to clearly explain every step of the process so I always knew exactly where things stood. They were genuinely proactive, anticipating issues and keeping everything moving smoothly without me having to chase.<br>What impressed me just as much is how well they look after my rental portfolio. As a landlord, I really value the care they show both me and my tenants. They handle everything professionally and thoughtfully, which gives me complete peace of mind.<br>If you’re selling a property in Halifax or need a reliable team to manage your rentals, Redwoods are the ones to go to. Outstanding service all round.

6th Sep 2026 (11 days ago)Here’s the updated version with that removed:<br>Review of Whitegates (Letting Agents)<br>We moved into one of their properties 5 years ago. It was a 2-bed house at £725 per month. We liked the area and needed the space, so we took it. We never met the landlord at the start and only later realised the property belonged to the owner of Whitegates.<br>The house was let to us “as seen”, but it needed a lot of work. Paint was peeling in the dining room, small bedroom, bathroom and kitchen because it had been painted onto wet plaster (only one coat). The garden (front and back) was a mess. The hall banister wasn’t fitted properly and later came away from the wall when I slipped on the stairs (my own fault, no one else to blame).<br>We did some of the work ourselves and just got on with it. The more we asked for repairs, the less actually happened. The boiler was nursed along for 5 years until they were finally forced to replace it. They fitted the cheapest one they could find and it still took a week.<br>Earlier this year we went away to visit family. While we were gone, plaster collapsed from the ceiling in the main bedroom – pieces bigger than my hand. If any of that had hit our 7-month-old son he would have been in hospital. When we raised it, their response was basically “you have a spare room, sleep there.” No apology, no concern for the baby, no offer of help. Just cold and dismissive.<br>A painter who came round to look at the main bedroom roof/ceiling told us things that didn’t surprise us at all by that point. We were also threatened when we missed a single payment. Rent went up £50 every year and was heading for £900 by the time we left. They claimed it was just “keeping up with market increases.”<br>It was only when we gave notice that things suddenly started getting done. They also changed our tenancy agreement from yearly to monthly, then switched it back to the original yearly agreement, and then had the audacity to claim we owed them rent arrears because we left early.<br>When we left we cleaned the whole place thoroughly and repainted (I have the photos). The only thing we didn’t tackle was the oven, which had stopped working properly – another email that was ignored. If they try to claim they never received our emails about these issues, I still have them all.<br>How they ever won “Letting Agents of the Year” is beyond me. We would not recommend them to anyone. In our experience they were unprofessional, unresponsive and completely lacking in care for their tenants.<br>I also tried contacting the local paper and the mayor about this, but neither responded to my emails. These days it seems rogue landlords and estate agents aren’t considered big news, but companies like this need putting in the public eye. Hopefully the greedy, nasty people who work there will get what’s coming to them.

10th Feb 2026 (7 mo. ago)Kirsty didn’t come across as very respectful or professional in how she spoke to my partner. As first time buyers, we expected a bit more understanding and courtesy. On the other hand, Darran, who showed us around the property, was polite, professional, and knowledgeable.
15th May 2026 (18 weeks ago)Although we haven't quite reached the exchanging contracts stage of our house sale, it's worth commenting on the service we've received up to this point. Enfields have delivered a highly professional experience from start to finish. Granted there was a slight delay in the production of our brochures but other than that small matter, we've been super happy with how we've been looked after by the team. Frank and honest conversations at the start of the process about expectations and the reality of the market, great advice on the approach to take, a fun day of staging and photos (with some fabulous results). Then, from the moment we went 'live', Joanne has been great at liaising with us at every step to update on viewings, feedback, and now the particulars of the sale. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a highly professional and credible agency run by people who truly care.

21st Aug 2025 (1 year ago)Property is marked as sold, initially they valued my property price very low if I hadn’t argued yet it sold within two weeks after being put on the market. Communication is very slow, no updates at all, everything is just at stand still no updates of what’s happening, Ella doesn’t respond to emails at all sometimes.

Their level of service and communication is second to none, excellent sales process and on point valuations. I would highly recommend anyone buying or selling a home in Todmorden & Hebden Bridge to engage Hansons. 10/10.
