5th Apr 2024 (18 days ago)After receiving such fantastic service from Sophie for our South Shields flat I’ve now moved over a North Shields flat from a competitor to her. The difference in service between the two was vast. Sophie was thorough, efficient and effective and is a swift worker, making a big difference to landlords. We will continue to move the rest of our portfolio over to her too.

3rd Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Please don’t waste your time contacting them. Group of my friends lost around 300 pounds and one of my friend lost 100 pounds as holding deposit. The worst part is even if you pay and do all referencing arranging documents still they WON’T give you accommodation. Personally I have viewed 5 rooms with them. Every time they make excuses after wasting our time and effort. And they never respond back. After ringing them many times they would say ‘Unfortunately it’s not available’. And for my last viewing I have send all my guarantor details and they never responded. After ringing them many times they said ‘I have to pay advance rent of 12 months, or else I won’t get the accommodation’. I mean what the heck!!! So please do not waste your time..
18th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)Huge thank you to Jeanette snd Mary who helped with the purchase of our new home. It was quite stressful for us at times and we had a few (a lot!) bumps in the road. We were very dependent on the team especially towards the end of the buying process for many reasons. I truly believe without their help on an almost daily basis we would still be waiting for the sale to have been finalised. We are now 4 weeks in our new home and are so happy. The stress long forgotten. The team are Very professional, very “on it” and also want to do the best for the buyer. Thank you all.

Not being from the area, they were able to suggest an excellent solicitor to oversee my house purchase. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. My partner and I couldn't have wished for more.

After the viewing, at 5 minutes to 5 I said good-bye to the agent and asked, just as a way of conversation, if she had to drive far in the 5 o'clock rush hour traffic. She responded that she was not driving anywhere because she had another viewing after mine. Sure enough, a car arrived at the property at this point, with the next viewers, so somehow it _was_ possible to do viewings after 5. I do not appreciate being lied to, so I will avoid Jan Forster in the future.- 11th Dec 2023 (19 weeks ago)I chose to Jan Forster for my flat sale and I was extremely glad to use them as my estate agent. From start to finish Karen and Andrew showed professionalism, expert local knowledge, flexibility, and were worth every penny. I’ve dealt with other local estate agents and they blow them out the water. I was able to trust Karen with being able to work on my best interest, and her advice from listing at the right price to get a quick sale, to her patience and ability to chase and help push to completion at the end was incredibly valuable. Would highly recommend over any other agent in the area.

18th Jul 2023 (9 mo. ago)Really poor company. Received a text letting me know they were just waiting on a key from the landlord for the apartment I was interested in viewing. I messaged the next day asking if it the property was available yet? They ignored my text for 5 days then replied saying they will have the key tomorrow for a viewing. I said ok let me know what time. They didn’t reply all day. It got to 3 o’clock the next day and still no reply. I text them and they ignored it. I call and no answer. Then receive a message asking me to state my enquiry. Such a strange company.

Very happy with their service. Unlike the other agent, the office staff were easy to get in touch with and followed up calls from potential buyers.
