Joel’s attention to detail was outstanding and he was always available to help, returned calls and emails quickly, and kept us informed at every stage. What can often be a stressful and overwhelming process has been made so much easier thanks to Sara.<br><br>It can be hard to find an agent who genuinely champions your search, especially when they have so many clients to manage. From day one, Sara has been friendly, responsive, and incredibly supportive. What really stood out was that she was often the one proactively getting in touch with me, rather than me having to chase for updates. That made such a difference and was a real breath of fresh air during the house-hunting process.<br><br>Too often, you give your details to an agent only to be shown properties that don't match your budget, preferred area, or requirements. Every property Sara recommended, however, felt carefully considered and genuinely aligned with what I was looking for. It was clear she had listened and understood exactly what mattered to me.<br><br>If you're looking for a new home and want someone who truly has your best interests at heart, I'd wholeheartedly recommend asking to speak with Sara. She combines professionalism with genuine care, which is a rare quality to find and made all the difference to my experience.
26th Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with a property marketed by John D Wood & Co. Estate Agents (Wandsworth).<br><br>Initially, Poppy Martin was very helpful and responsive throughout the viewing and application process, which gave us confidence in proceeding. However, after our offer was accepted, we were informed that all payments and tenancy arrangements would be handled directly by the landlord rather than the agency. This was never made clear at the outset.<br><br>We had already submitted our personal and financial information to the agent, including payslips, bank statements, passports, proof of address, P60s, and our guarantor’s personal and financial details. Despite this, the landlord requested the same documents again, followed by further demands for over a year’s worth of our guarantor’s financial records, including payslips, bank statements, and P60s.<br><br>We also discovered that deposits were to be paid to a business account managed by a third-party company, which had not been disclosed by the agent. When we requested evidence of their data protection compliance, we were initially provided with an expired certificate and generic documents, which further undermined our confidence.<br><br>At this stage, we no longer felt comfortable sharing additional financial information. As a result, our £311 holding deposit was retained. We felt pressured into providing excessive personal data under the threat of losing our deposit.<br><br>Overall, the process lacked transparency, involved repeated requests for financial and personal information, and left us feeling misled. This was a stressful and disappointing experience, and I hope future applicants are given clearer information before committing to the process.

Both were approachable, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. They kept us informed at every stage, answered our questions promptly, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel much more straightforward. 28th Sep 2025 (10 mo. ago)A few things which we were promised which they didn’t deliver on, we went with this estate agent because they said they’d have multiple offices working on our property, but it ended up being just one office in a different area to where we were selling. We were there for some of the viewings and they didn’t know answers to basic questions which we know we had given them information for

My son purchased a property through these people ( well so he thought) he had his offer accepted which was the highest, he gave his solicitor details,had his mortgage ready, all was fine ( so we thought) We met the executors of the previous owner and was told it had been sold to an equity company at a much lower price. She explained that my son's offer was never shared with her and that she would have accepted it. It is disgusting the way that Julia has treated my son, and strung him along. Best advice is for no one to deal with this unprofessional set up, although I have noticed not many people in Balham sell through them. It only seems to be garages or Du cane court. I will be contacting the estate agents ombudsman about this situation 1st thing. Do not waste time with this outfit. There are some fantastic friendly professional agents in Balham and Tooting Bec. I am shocked that there are still some questionable agents around.

He's always been someone I've found to be honest, knowledgeable and goes the extra mile for his clients.<br>More recently, I've dealt with Tom through Hamptons, and the high standard of service has continued. He has built a fantastic team around him who are always professional, responsive and a pleasure to deal with.<br>As a property search agent, it's incredibly important that I can recommend estate agents with confidence. Having worked in the industry myself for many years, I know how rare it is to find people who consistently provide sound advice, experience and exceptional customer service. I cannot rate the service enough..they have gone over and above every step of the way (including helping me relocate my sofa when it wouldn’t fit through the hallway in my new flat).. They took the time to understand what I was looking for, advocated for me through out the sales process and genuinely made the process so smooth. I would definitely recommend using them as an agent, and this was a great reminder to use your local agent as they really do go the extra mile!
