Wowee what a journey - a total labour of love from the team in Bellevue Road and Patrick in particular - from start to finish the process was handled so professionally and calmly to get to the end result of selling our house - nothing was too much trouble and for only a 2 bed house we felt that we were always priority! Really grateful for all their hard work and will definitely use again. Thank you so much

14th Sep 2026 (4 days ago)We're so pleased we worked with Tom to sell our flat in Balham. Having someone with his experience manage the sale end to end was of huge value. He was always on hand to deal with any queries or issues and made the whole process as seamless as possible. I'm not sure our sale would have gone through without him and I wouldn't consider a different agent if trying to sell in the area!
11th Sep 2026 (7 days ago)We had such a great experience with Sara at Marsh & Parsons! She was really helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. The day I first called, she called me back with two properties and availability to view that suited us. The second property she showed us ended up being the one we went for!<br><br>The viewings were also private, which made such a difference. There were no queues of people outside the door or loads of couples being shown around at the same time, so the whole experience felt much more personal and relaxed. Sara even drove us from one viewing to the second property so we could make it to another viewing in time afterwards.<br><br>She made everything really easy over WhatsApp too, from contracts and deposits to answering all our questions, even when she wasn’t working. She was always so responsive and happy to help.<br><br>Couldn’t recommend Sara enough! She made what is normally a stressful process feel really easy and genuinely went above and beyond to help us find our new home.
26th Jun 2026 (12 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with a property marketed by John D Wood & Co. Estate Agents (Wandsworth).<br><br>Initially, Poppy Martin was very helpful and responsive throughout the viewing and application process, which gave us confidence in proceeding. However, after our offer was accepted, we were informed that all payments and tenancy arrangements would be handled directly by the landlord rather than the agency. This was never made clear at the outset.<br><br>We had already submitted our personal and financial information to the agent, including payslips, bank statements, passports, proof of address, P60s, and our guarantor’s personal and financial details. Despite this, the landlord requested the same documents again, followed by further demands for over a year’s worth of our guarantor’s financial records, including payslips, bank statements, and P60s.<br><br>We also discovered that deposits were to be paid to a business account managed by a third-party company, which had not been disclosed by the agent. When we requested evidence of their data protection compliance, we were initially provided with an expired certificate and generic documents, which further undermined our confidence.<br><br>At this stage, we no longer felt comfortable sharing additional financial information. As a result, our £311 holding deposit was retained. We felt pressured into providing excessive personal data under the threat of losing our deposit.<br><br>Overall, the process lacked transparency, involved repeated requests for financial and personal information, and left us feeling misled. This was a stressful and disappointing experience, and I hope future applicants are given clearer information before committing to the process.

28th Sep 2025 (11 mo. ago)A few things which we were promised which they didn’t deliver on, we went with this estate agent because they said they’d have multiple offices working on our property, but it ended up being just one office in a different area to where we were selling. We were there for some of the viewings and they didn’t know answers to basic questions which we know we had given them information for
25th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)The most unprofessional Estate agents ever. My son purchased a property through these people ( well so he thought) he had his offer accepted which was the highest, he gave his solicitor details,had his mortgage ready, all was fine ( so we thought) We met the executors of the previous owner and was told it had been sold to an equity company at a much lower price. She explained that my son's offer was never shared with her and that she would have accepted it. It is disgusting the way that Julia has treated my son, and strung him along. Best advice is for no one to deal with this unprofessional set up, although I have noticed not many people in Balham sell through them. It only seems to be garages or Du cane court. I will be contacting the estate agents ombudsman about this situation 1st thing. Do not waste time with this outfit. There are some fantastic friendly professional agents in Balham and Tooting Bec. I am shocked that there are still some questionable agents around.

Charlotte took time to understand my key points of what I was looking for in a house to ensure the viewings were relevant and efficient use of my time. A true delight to work with and I would recommend Charlotte as an agent to anyone looking for their next property.

From viewing the flat to moving out, they were always attentive and responsive, and made you feel like you weren’t just another tenant.<br><br>Particular shout out to Lina, Derek and Matthew who made the moving out process so smooth when I had to (v sadly) move out of my flat. They clearly explained everything I needed to do and made what could have been a stressful process feel completely hassle-free.<br><br>Would definitely recommend Porters to anyone looking for a professional and genuinely helpful estate agent!
