7th Apr 2026 (28 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Scott Fraser. We attended a scheduled viewing only to find that the agent didn’t turn up. We ended up being shown around the property by the current tenant, which is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. When this was raised, the response and apology from Liberty were minimal and lacked any real accountability. Despite this, we remained serious and submitted an offer. We were clearly told by liberty we would be contacted if there was an opportunity to improve it. That contact never came. Instead, we later found out the landlord had accepted another offer without any communication to us, despite expectations being set. The entire process was poorly handled, disorganised, and lacked even the most basic level of professionalism or courtesy. As someone who has previously worked in estate agency, it’s genuinely surprising to see this level of service still happening. Experiences like this only reinforce the negative stereotypes around the industry. Would not recommend.

They made everything feel smooth and well-managed, always keeping me informed and providing clear, expert advice. Their attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high standard of service really stood out. It’s clear they genuinely care about their clients and go above and beyond to ensure everything is handled seamlessly. I would highly recommend Carter Jonas to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy estate agent. A truly five-star experience!

At a time when sometimes it feels like you're being shunted around viewings as just another name on a list, it was wonderful to be treated like people, and talked to in such a helpful, informative, but also kind and warm manner. On both occasions call-backs were promised but never happened. It seems they can afford to turn away potential clients and business. We will now use other agents.

18th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)Dreadful experience from start to finish with Stuart Burtenshaw. Firstly his arrogant aura came across as mocking the way my parents lived when he came to view the property for a probate valuation. I didn't want to put the house on the market because of this but one of my siblings thought that seeing as they knew George Rockall all would be ok - how wrong could they have been...... Stuart Burtenshaw is the most arrogant, rude, unempathetic, person I have ever had the misfortune to meet. He made mistakes throughout the process, he was pushy to except an offer of £70K less than the asking price when our property had only been on the market for less than 8 weeks....needless to say we did not accept it. When he asked which solicitors we used and then advised that they used Lightfoots regularly, which in turn led us to believe he understood their processes, again how wrong could I be.... the actual completion day was an absolute horrendous and very upsetting day, we were advised by our solicitors not to hand over the keys until the solicitors had called us to advise they had received the monies, we received this call at 1pm on the day of completion, followed by a very nasty & pushy call from Stuart Burtenshaw at 1.05pm asking when we could drop the keys in when I said 30 minutes I was told that was totally unacceptable and he demanded to know how long it would be as the new owners had been at the estate agents at 10am...... This we thought was not our problem and Stuart should have known Lightfoots proceedures, and dealt with it accordingly, I asked for 10 minutes, instead he suggested that he just send them down to our house, next thing 5 vans and 2 cars arrived and new owners wanted to come in..... We had no time to say goodbye to our family home of 61 years......... Bitterly disappointed doesn't cover it, my advice would be DO NOT use White Lion to sell a property and if you have to then avoid Stuart Burtenshaw at all cost.Savills - Summertown, Residential Development Sales

15th Apr 2026 (20 days ago)Absolutely first class service from Graeme and his team at Thomas Merrifield. This was not an easy sale to progress, Graeme was spinning lots of plates, in a difficult chain, including keeping me up to date with information as and when I needed it. When i had questions about the process he was patient in explaining things to me. His communication via phone, voice mail and email has been first class. I would recommend Graeme Pierce and his team at Thomas Merrifield without a doubt. 100% first class service.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!

All of the staff have always been friendly, helpful, efficient and great to speak to and deal with. We have just started renting our 2nd property with them, and as before..it’s all been as simple as easeful as can be. Any issues or queries are resolved quickly which brings peace of mind.
