29th Jul 2026 (0 days ago)Bradley Bates, Connells Yate Branch manager handled the valuation of our property, something that was difficult to accurately do due to the changes in the world at the time. After some careful consideration a marketing strategy was agreed and to our delight the house was under formal offer within 12 hours of going on the market. Bradley's bubbly, attentive personality made interaction with him very easy and making himself available along the process was a bonus. Moving house is a minefield, its clear to see that the Yate team are motivated by Bradley's presence and is a natural leader in the Branch. In a world where Estate Agents get a bad reputation the Yate team worked hard to be transparent and honest. For this we are very grateful. If i am looking for areas of growth for Connells Estate Agents, it would be to review the Solicitors you chose to work with, your recommendation was a bad reflection on your business model, it cannot be worth your effort to do their job and chase their errors all the time?

Tanyas communication and negotiation with the chain when no one was conversing through their solicitors was invaluable and over and above what she should have had to do. Tanya’s unrelenting tenacity, attention to detail and continuous investment in the sale has been outstanding and very much appreciated. I highly recommend Edison Ford…. Outstanding service for buying, selling and finance advice.

29th Jun 2026 (30 days ago)I would very much recommend using Allen and Harris in Witney. Aishah and Jarrod were amazing, constantly updating and communicating with us. Jarrod is still a trainee but would like to say how impressed we were with his knowledge about our house and how he communicated that information to the viewers. He has a presence about him that will make a great estate agent and an asset to the team.

It has truly been a pleasure working with them so far, everything has been made easily comprehensible and they have both reassured and supported us within this process.
13th Jul 2026 (16 days ago)This is a lovely estate and a great location for visiting London and the South of England. The site is in need of some maintenance. At the restaurant / pub there are lots of broken seats in the outdoor area. The automatic wine machine wasn't working and they had few soft drink cans as they are switching to a tap system. Often appeared under staffed. Harassed staff at the bar. No staff at the shop. Had to wait in the bar queue to ask for someone to serve ice cream in the shop. The pool changing facility is very run down and filthy. It just lets down what is a very lovely place. Our property was privately managed by the owner. When we arrived the outdoor area was a mess. One decking plank was sticking up, decking and furniture filthy and windows covered in bird poo and cobwebs. However after complaining to Orion Holiday the outside area was power washed and the windows cleaned.

Kept in the loop with viewings and outcomes. Very useful feedback from potential buyers. Found the Street.co.uk app good. Would definitely use McFarlane Sales & Lettings again. Tim Stanley was excellent.

Leigh and Helen gave a balanced and thorough appraisal of the property when suggesting the sale price. From the moment we gave our instructions, Helen and the team were totally brilliant, always keeping us updated, and always responding very promptly to any emails or phone calls. Selling a home can be a very fraught experience, but I felt that we were thoroughly supported throughout. Many thanks to Helen especially, but also to all of the team.
9th Jun 2026 (7 weeks ago)The ladies at Holmans were superb. (and Roger)We were kept updated all the time and nothing was too much trouble. They calmed us when we needed reassurance and helped keep the chain intact, which is not easy in today’s market. Would thoroughly recommend for selling houses.

Viewings demonstrated how well these guys understand their local market and how Marc in particular listened to what we needed and provided valuable insight and advice along the way. From offer to completion was incredibly smooth, with no friction at any time. We never want to sell in this amazing location, but if we ever do we know who we’ll use. Thanks again.

11th Jun 2026 (7 weeks ago)AVOID CONNELLS AT ALL COSTS I am receiving passive aggressive emails from Connells 5 years after they made my house purchase 10x harder than it needed to be despite being told my information had been removed from their databases in line with GDPR regulations- clearly they cannot even manage that. As a first time buyer I was given a terrible deal as I unfortunately did not know any better- if you are a first time buyer, or really any buyer, AVOID CONNELLS. EDIT 17/3/26 - you’ve replied telling me to get in touch to make it look to people like you’re doing something about this but you have now not replied to my email. Again, Connells cannot manage the most basic of tasks - do not involve them in your purchase/sale/rental of your house. Edit 1/6/26 still no reply, avoid this company. 11/6/26 I have received another email reminding me to renew my mortgage, clearly GDPR means nothing to this company. I still have not received an email which I was promised in reply to this review.

During this time the whole team were so helpful arranging viewings around my schedule and keeping in touch during the purchase. A very personal approach to house buying which was much appreciated and a pleasure to experience.

3rd Jul 2026 (26 days ago)We recently purchased our forever home from AJ. We cannot rate AJ and her team highly enough. She is extremely professional , super communicative, and took us through the process extremely efficiently. We went from offer accepted to exchange in just over 5 weeks! While some of that is down to the vendor and us jumping through our hoops speedily, AJ was the cog that kept it all going smoothly, particularly the getting lawyers to talk to each other bit. She made what is often a very stressful time so much easier. This was my second purchase and I cannot believe the difference! Thanks AJ and sorry about the late review! We are loving our new place.
